This film is a remarkable story of perseverance. Despite being developed for years and then put on hold by Warner Bros., it’s finally going to be released in theaters.
Ketchup Entertainment, the company that helped finish the live-action/animated film, released its first trailer on April 22nd. The trailer playfully suggests that ACME, the company behind the film, didn’t want it released.
The trailer includes a sly dig at Warner Bros. around the middle. Underneath the Warner Bros. logo, a message appears stating, “Warner Bros. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the ACME corporation.”
Coyote Is Getting His Payback in Coyote vs. ACME Trailer
For years, a determined coyote has been plagued by accidents caused by faulty products from ACME, Inc. Now, he’s discovered the company is deliberately making dangerous items and is taking them to court.
After years of elaborate traps backfiring and causing him endless pain – from bombs and dynamite to rockets and rogue rubber bands – Wile E. Coyote is finally taking action against his nemesis in Coyote vs. Acme. He’s no longer just the victim of constant mishaps and explosions; he’s fighting back after being blown up, crushed, and generally tormented across the Southwest.
I’m really excited to see Wile E. Coyote finally changing his approach! Instead of all the explosions and failed schemes, he’s actually taking ACME to court this time. He’s joined forces with a great lawyer, Kevin Avery, who specializes in billboard accidents, and they’re going up against ACME’s smooth-talking corporate counsel, Buddy Crane. It’s about time someone held that profit-hungry company accountable for all the trouble they’ve caused him!
Coyote vs. ACME sprints to theaters on Aug. 28.
