Box Office Was Just One Way For Superman To Make Money

While box office numbers are important for movie studios – they want films to succeed with audiences – they aren’t the only way studios make money. Big blockbusters like *Superman* generate revenue from sources beyond ticket sales, including licensing deals (like selling toys) and home viewing options. Studios also benefit from rentals, Blu-ray sales, and increased subscriptions to streaming services like HBO Max, and a film like *Superman* can significantly boost those numbers.
