Street Fighter 6 has a few odd choices, such as promotional art showing characters who aren’t actually playable. However, when the game is at its best, it’s impossible to ignore.
Here’s a first look at Alex, a new character coming in Spring 2026!
Like many downloadable additions, Capcom starts this one with a scene from World Tour mode. It shows the Dark Devil easily defeating Hugo Andore from Final Fight.

Not much can be gathered from this, except that Alex will retain his strong New York accent. Interestingly, even his logo’s font is based on the one used in the Street Fighter 3: The New Generation game, where he first appeared.
I’m expecting his next fight to be really interesting! It sounds like he’s going to stick with what he does best – a combination of wrestling and kickboxing. Basically, he’s super fast and really good at grappling, which makes him a tough opponent.
We’ll obviously get a better look at his gameplay later in the year.
Alex is the newest fighter joining Street Fighter 6 as part of Fighting Pass 3, following Sagat and C. Viper. Ingrid will be added to the game later this year, completing the pass’s roster.
