Wednesday future after season 2 confirmed by Netflix before new episodes drop next month

Wednesday has been confirmed already for season 3 – before season 2 even arrives on our screens.

The show centered around the Addams Family, with Jenna Ortega playing the role of the dark-loving teenager, has been an enormous success on Netflix.

Currently, it’s been verified that TUDUM’s platform holds further enigmatic and eerie occurrences beyond the scheduled episodes due for launch next month.

Regarding the upcoming season, co-creator and co-showrunner Alfred Gough explains their aim: “For season 3, our objective remains consistent with every other season – to produce the finest Wednesday we can possibly deliver.

As a captivated cinematographer, I eagerly anticipate delving further into the intricacies of our enigmatic characters, all the while broadening the mesmerizing realm of Nevermore and Wednesday.

As a cinephile myself, I’m thrilled to share that Miles Millar, my esteemed colleague and co-pilot on this spooky journey, hinted at the inclusion of even more intriguing Addams Family members and unveiling hidden family mysteries in season 3!

On Netflix, Wednesday has broken records as its most popular British-language series ever, with season 1 holding the crown for the highest number of views among all British titles available on the platform.

In simple terms, the second season of Wednesday will air in two separate segments. The initial segment is set to premiere on August 6th, followed by the second part on September 3rd.

On Wednesday, she’ll resume her studies at Nevermore Academy, a busy supernatural school for exceptionally talented kids, following a chaotic inaugural year.

Accompanied by her trusted friend and werewolf, Enid (Emma Myers), she quickly becomes embroiled in an intriguing new puzzle that demands her attention.

Additionally, you’ll find many fresh faces walking the school corridors this year – for example, Steve Buscemi takes on the role of the newly appointed principal, Barry Dort, while the renowned artist Lady Gaga joins the faculty as teacher Rosaline Rotwood.

This coming season, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán reprise their roles as the excessively loving parents, Gomez and Morticia, on Wednesdays.

On Sunday, Joy Sunday returns to her role as character Bianca Barclay, while Hunter Doohan reprises his part as the shape-shifting Tyler Galpin.

Billie Piper will also appear at the Academy, portraying Isadora Capri – the newly appointed head of music at the school who shows particular attention to Enid’s abilities. Meanwhile, Thandiwe Newton assumes the role of a psychiatrist tasked with managing Tyler, a character known for his instability, at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital.

Wednesday season 1 is available to stream on Netflix. Season 2 will arrive on 6th August.
