Wednesday season 2 confirms Lady Gaga single to be added to soundtrack – and video is on the way

For quite some time, it has been made clear that Lady Gaga is set to star in the second installment of Wednesday, portraying the character Rosaline Rotwood – a renowned Nevermore instructor whose life intersects with Jenna Ortega’s character.

According to Variety’s reports, Lady Gaga is set to release a new song for the show, scheduled to drop next month, mirroring her character/musician’s entrance in the latter part of the season.

The song “Dead Dance” is set to release along with its accompanying video, as reported. It’s said that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were spotted filming on the Isla de las Muñecas in Xochimilco, which is south of Mexico City. Additionally, the track will be featured during one of the series episodes.

According to various sources, the song was created with the same group responsible for producing Lady Gaga’s latest album, “Chaos,” namely main writers and producers Andrew Watt and Cirkut.

Tim Burton, who oversees the series as executive producer and also directs episodes, expressed his admiration for Lady Gaga during an interview with Variety at the season 2 premiere. He stated, “She’s a true artist, and collaborating with artists like her is always inspiring. I’ve felt the same way about Joanna and Steve, whom I’ve worked with previously.

On this set, when these individuals arrive, there’s a sense of excitement that spreads throughout the team. It’s truly captivating to observe such a moment.

Additional stars set to appear in Wednesday’s second season are Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, and Billie Piper. Notably returning from the first season are Catherine Zeta-Jones and Emma Myers.

In an interview with TopMob magazine, Piper shared that she was deeply passionate about Tim Burton’s movies during her younger years. She expressed, “My children and I are big fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Frankenweenie.

As a child, I developed a strong fondness for Big Fish, and would frequently rewatch Beetlejuice. This classic film seemed to influence the decor of my home and my personal style in clothing.
