The second half of Wednesday Season 2 was more thrilling than anticipated, and it unveiled some captivating enigmas, such as who Slurp and Isaac truly are. The plot also concluded on a somber note. While Wednesday accomplished her mission, the finale left a lingering feeling of sadness.
As the last four episodes of the second season are now available for streaming, let’s delve into the true identities of Isaac and Slurp in Wednesday’s Season 2.
Is Isaac Night actually Slurp in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2?
In Part 2 of Wednesday Season 2, it’s unveiled that Pugsley’s zombie pet, Slurp, is none other than Isaac Night – a crazed inventor. He had devised technology to counteract the powers of an outcast, initially targeting his sister Franciose, who detested her Hyde abilities. However, his desire for control escalated dangerously.
In a previous scene, we see that when Isaac was studying at Nevermore with Gomez, they decided to experiment with the machine using Gomez’s electrical abilities. Unfortunately, Isaac drew too much energy from Gomez, nearly causing him harm. Morticia happened to arrive in time and amputated Isaac’s hand to save Gomez. Tragically, the injury proved fatal for Isaac, and his body was buried beneath the Skull Tree by Morticia and Adam.
In the show, Morticia’s detached hand was transformed into a character known as Thing, who joined Wednesday on her adventures in later episodes. Utilizing a homemade mechanical heart, the character of Isaac Night reappeared in Wednesday Season 2 Episode 2 to continue the work he had begun earlier.
Towards the end of the storyline, Isaac and his sister Franciose abducted Pugsley to harness his electrical abilities, finally activating the machine. This act exposed Isaac as the most malevolent character in the series up until that point.
The second half of Wednesday Season 2 is currently available for streaming on Netflix. This segment has left several intriguing mysteries unresolved, and hopefully, these will be clarified in the upcoming third season.
