Jenna Ortega reprised her role as the serious detective Wednesday Addams when the show’s second season premiered earlier this year. Along with the returning cast, several new actors joined the show, including some well-known guest stars. Now that a third season is planned, fans are speculating about who else might join the cast. Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia Addams, has suggested her friend Danny DeVito, and even has a specific role in mind for him – though she doubts he’d accept it.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, married to Michael Douglas, recently expressed her surprise that Danny DeVito hasn’t been cast in the show Wednesday. Douglas and DeVito have been close friends for decades, having lived together as roommates in the late 1960s. At a recent Wednesday event, Zeta-Jones told Variety she questioned why DeVito hadn’t appeared in the series, suggesting he would be perfect for the role of Cousin Itt. She and Douglas celebrated their shared birthday (September 25th) with DeVito and discussed the possibility.
