Olivia Plath is saying goodbye to Plathville once and for all.
The TLC star-who split from Ethan Plath in 2023 after five years of being married-has announced she’s leaving the show. She said the season seven finale on September 30th will be the “last scene/episode of Welcome to Plathville that I will ever film.”
Reflecting on the past 7(!) years with the show brings up a lot of feelings for me,” she shared on Instagram Stories on September 30th. “When we began filming, I was very naive, recently married, and raised in a very strict religious environment, and I didn’t have a good sense of my own identity.
The 27-year-old explained, “The past 7 years have been difficult, and there were times I doubted I would overcome them, but I’m determined to show I can. While finishing this part of my life is bittersweet-I’m saddened by the person I used to be, the possibilities they had, and the choices they ultimately made. Things really could have turned out differently.”
Olivia explained that her last time being on Welcome to Plathville-a show about Kim Plath and Barry Plath, who are now separated, and their ten children-happened “some time in the past.”
I’ve been working hard to break free from my contract-and I finally did it!” she explained, while also mentioning she’s still bound by “an NDA”. “I’ve not only tried to move away from negativity and bullying, but I’ve also reported damaging actions and attempted to defend what I believe is right. Seeing violence, hatred, and problems portrayed as something enjoyable really bothers me.”
TopMob News reached out to TLC for comment but has not yet heard back.
I first started watching Welcome to Plathville when it premiered in 2019, and Olivia immediately stood out. She had just gotten married to Ethan, who is Kim and Barry’s oldest child-they’d actually met when they were both teenagers! It was so interesting to follow their journey. Sadly, after four years, in 2023, they announced they were separating, and then officially filed for divorce together in 2024. It was definitely a difficult situation to watch unfold.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen many relationships evolve, and sometimes separation is truly the healthiest path. It’s interesting to hear how people reflect on those times – in Olivia’s case, two years after splitting from Ethan, she called it “the best decision.” It really speaks to finding peace and moving forward, doesn’t it? It’s a reminder that prioritizing your well-being is key. Healing takes time, but it’s wonderful when someone can look back and feel confident in their choice.
She shared on Instagram in March, “At 20, I didn’t realize how valuable I was. I stayed in situations too long because I feared being criticized for not trying hard enough. I mistakenly believed I could *earn* someone’s love and commitment, but that was never going to work and ultimately left me feeling insecure, emotionally unbalanced, and prone to trying to control things.”
Currently, the reality TV star says she can now understand her place in a relationship, identify problems that can be fixed if both people are willing to change, and know when it’s best to end things.
Olivia reflected that she’s realized if someone doesn’t want to be with her, she’s better off prioritizing her own well-being and moving on, rather than attempting to alter or manage the circumstances.

In August 2017, Jacinda Ardern surprisingly took over as leader of New Zealand’s opposition party shortly before the national election. She was only 37 years old at the time. Just two busy months later, she became Prime Minister and discovered she was expecting a baby. This made her only the second world leader ever to give birth while holding office. Ardern rapidly gained international recognition as a leader, attracting attention from people who wanted a more understanding and caring response to the important problems facing the world. Personally, she faced challenges balancing new motherhood and trying to prove herself to a public that sometimes doubted female leaders. Several major events – including the Christchurch shooting, pandemic restrictions, and protests filled with misinformation outside Parliament – truly tested her leadership and the different style she brought to the role. She stepped down from office in January 2023, which came as a surprise to both her supporters and those who disagreed with her.

I absolutely love Shifting Gears! It’s about Matt, a pretty set-in-his-ways guy who runs a shop where he fixes up old cars – he’s also a widower. But the story really gets going when his daughter, Riley, and her children come to live with him. Honestly, it’s not just cars he’s restoring; it’s his family too, and it’s so heartwarming to watch. It’s a beautiful story about second chances and reconnecting, and I highly recommend it!

Now, a man’s body has been discovered with clear connections to the original kidnapping. As a lifestyle expert who studies the darker side of culture, let me tell you about a truly chilling figure. In the icy farmlands of 1950s Wisconsin, a seemingly normal, quiet man named Eddie Gein lived a secluded life. But behind closed doors, he concealed something truly horrific – a house of horrors that would forever change how America thought about nightmares. It was a story fueled by loneliness, mental illness, and an unhealthy fixation on his mother. Gein’s disturbing actions didn’t just create a criminal case; they birthed a new type of monster, one that would deeply impact Hollywood for years to come. Think about films like Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and even The Silence of the Lambs – all of them owe a debt to Gein’s terrifying legacy. He didn’t just inspire a horror genre; he *became* the original model for the modern horror villain.
The Sisters Grimm is a fun and heartwarming story about two sisters who are detectives – and happen to be related to the famous Brothers Grimm! Though they’re quite different from each other, they work together wonderfully as a team.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that this three-part documentary series offers an incredibly intimate look at Victoria Beckham as she gears up for the biggest fashion show of her career.
