I’m so excited to hear that Ken Kutaragi – you know, the guy who basically created the PlayStation – is going to be the keynote speaker at the Game Republic New Horizons event in the UK later this year! It’s amazing to think I might actually get to hear him speak.
In October, he’ll be interviewed on stage by Chris Dring from The Game Business about his career, followed by a chance to meet him.
Kutaragi expressed his excitement about participating in the event, which will be held at Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. He’s eager to share his extensive experience, lifelong dedication to innovation, and thoughts on what the future holds with everyone who attends.
Ken Kutaragi is most famous for leading the development of the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 while working at Sony. He was a key figure in the beginning of the PlayStation brand.
I was really sad when he left back in 2007, but it’s been awesome to see him stay involved in tech! Right now, he’s the CEO of Ascent Robotics and Cyber AI Entertainment, which is pretty cool.
The upcoming interview should cover his experiences leading PlayStation, and we expect it to be really interesting. It’s definitely something to anticipate!
