Fans won’t have to wait much longer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, which premieres on January 8th, 2026. The second season ended in December 2023, hinting at an incredibly intense new storyline—even more action-packed than the Shibuya Incident. To build excitement, a special movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, was released, featuring a recap of the Shibuya Incident arc and the first two episodes of the upcoming season. You’ll be able to watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 on Crunchyroll as part of their Winter 2026 schedule, with new episodes available subtitled starting January 8th, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time.
The anime will be released in many regions, including North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. While the English dub doesn’t have a release date yet, it will likely become available at least two weeks after the anime’s initial release. This season, titled Culling Game: Part 1, suggests the entire story arc will be longer than just one season. The Culling Game is the second-to-last major story arc, leading up to the final battle in the Shinjuku Showdown.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Will Feature The Aftermath of The Shibuya Incident Arc

Before the intense Culling Game begins, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will cover the events following the devastating Shibuya Incident, specifically Itadori’s Extermination and the Perfect Preparation Arc. The Shibuya battle completely shattered the world of jujutsu sorcery, causing many sorcerers to die and countless civilians to lose their lives. To make matters worse, with Satoru Gojo sealed away, those in charge are acting with impunity. They’ve declared Gojo a criminal—manipulated by Kenjaku using Suguru Geto’s body—and strictly forbid anyone from attempting to free him.
Even with new rules in place, Gojo’s students will likely still try to find a way to rescue him. Plus, Yuji Itadori and Masamichi Yaga are also targets for separate reasons. The higher-ups have wanted Yuji eliminated for a while, and they’re eager to assign the task to Yuta Okkotsu, who recently returned from Africa. The next season will show what Yuta is really planning when he goes after Yuji, and will also introduce Naoya Zenin, a particularly dangerous villain in the series.
The anime will soon begin its longest story arc, the Culling Game, a fierce battle royale masterminded by Kenjaku. This was Kenjaku’s ultimate plan, and he needed to sideline the incredibly powerful Gojo to have any chance of success. The new season will also introduce a variety of new characters, including both friends and foes.
