What is Fortnite Crew?
Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription for Fortnite, the popular free-to-play game. Subscribers receive special outfits, the current season’s Battle Pass, in-game currency (V-Bucks), and a premium membership for Rocket League – even though Rocket League is a different game!
Starting November 18th, Fortnite Crew is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, offering all the usual perks.
Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service that many casual Fortnite players might not be aware of. I personally didn’t know about it until recently. It’s now being highlighted as a benefit of the updated Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which comes with a price increase.
Fortnite is a pretty good value, especially considering it’s free to play. While a Fortnite Crew subscription usually costs $11.99 per month, players who also have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are now getting a discount.
What do you get in Fortnite Crew?

The Fortnite Crew subscription is made up of a number of different perks.
- One monthly Crew Pack
- Current Fortnite Battle Pass
- Current Fortnite OG Pass
- Current Fortnite Lego Pass
- Current Fortnite Music Pass
- 1,000 V-Bucks per month
- Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket League
For just $11.99, you’re getting a great deal of content. Considering the Battle Pass alone usually costs $8.99, and this bundle includes it plus extra V-Bucks, you’re actually getting around $18 worth of value.
Okay, so I’ve been looking into the Fortnite Crew perks, and it looks like if you want the Lego Pass and the Music Pass, they’ll each set you back 1,400 V-Bucks. And if you’re after the OG Pass, that’s an additional 1,000 V-Bucks. It adds up, but it seems like a good deal if you’re really into those extras!
Fortnite Crew is a great deal, especially for players who enjoy all the different ways to play Fortnite.
If you prefer not to have a monthly subscription, you’ll still earn enough V-Bucks each month to buy one Battle Pass.
What do you get in the Crew Pack?

Each month with a Fortnite Crew subscription gets you a new set of cosmetic items. This includes a unique outfit and an accessory that go with it, and the best part is – you get to keep them even if you cancel your subscription!
The game also includes a special Lego outfit for use in that mode, and you get to keep it even if you cancel your subscription.
Whether or not the Fortnite Crew subscription is worth the cost depends on you. If you’re a frequent player who regularly buys V-Bucks and Battle Passes, it’s likely a good value.
Starting November 18, 2025, Fortnite Crew will be included with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If you currently pay for both, you can cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription to avoid being charged twice.
I’ve been looking at the costs, and it seems like even with a basic Game Pass plan, you’ll actually save a little money each month if you keep your Fortnite Crew subscription instead of upgrading to Game Pass Ultimate. It just works out cheaper that way.
