What Mason Disick Really Thinks of Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Mason Disick may avoid the spotlight nowadays, but he still makes sure to keep up with his family.

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve been following the Kardashian family for years, and it’s so interesting to see how the next generation is reacting to their famous history! Apparently, Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Scott Disick’s 16-year-old son recently started watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and Khloe tells me he was really enjoying seeing what his family was like back then – he found their old antics pretty funny!

Khloe recalled Scott Disick reaching out about a year or two ago, leaning towards last year, while discussing when her kids could start watching their reality show on her podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land. She remembered her nephew, Mason, being around 14 or 15 years old at the time.

And it’s safe to say he was a fan—bible.

She explained that he recently started watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians and told them, ‘You guys had such a great energy.’ She responded, ‘Are you kidding? We still have amazing energy! I don’t know what you mean!’ She added that he really enjoyed the show and found it very entertaining.

The 41-year-old also mentioned that Mason was surprised by how different everyone acts around their children, and how those differences have become even more apparent as they’ve all gotten older.

Although Mason liked watching the show, Khloe – who shares 7-year-old True and 3-year-old Tatum with her ex, Tristan Thompson – isn’t ready for her children to watch it yet.

The mother of two said she thought 14 or 15 was a good age for her kids to start watching, but added that it would be difficult to decide when to actually let them.

It’s not that True and Tatum don’t notice the cameras following their family. Khloe has shared that her kids, who have grown up on reality TV, actually consider having cameras around all the time to be completely normal.

During a February podcast episode, the Kardashian family member explained that her family isn’t bothered by many questions. She clarified that while her family is aware they film a TV show, they’ve never actually watched it, and she doesn’t believe they fully understand what that entails.

She explained that, like many people today, people are just filming everything with their phones without asking what’s going on. She’s not volunteering information, like the fact that their show is number one on Hulu. It’s normal for them to encounter paparazzi, even though it feels unusual, and people aren’t questioning why it’s happening.

Khloe Kardashian has been careful about what her children are exposed to, not just with her family’s TV show. She’s also chosen to keep them off of social media.

Khloe explained that her children have no internet access at all. They don’t use Google or any similar online services.

As for a phone, the podcast host plans to revisit the topic when her daughter gets a little older.

Khloe explained that they’ve agreed to talk about getting her daughter a phone when she turns twelve. However, she emphasized that a phone isn’t the same as access to social media. Khloe believes kids are too young for social media until at least sixteen or seventeen, but she’s open to discussing a phone at age twelve.
