What McKenna Grace Had in the Pocket of Oscars 2026 Dress

Mckenna Grace wants to be the very best—but not just at acting.

She’s actually been improving her skills as a trader. At the 2026 Oscars on March 15th, while attending with her Regretting You co-star, Mason Thames, the actress added a surprising detail to her outfit – a design that any Pokémon fan, like Ash Ketchum, would definitely notice.

“I have a plan for tonight!” McKenna jokingly told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. “Mason and I were talking, and I decided I want to be the first person to open Pokémon cards at the Oscars. I’ve already slipped one to Mason.”

The 19-year-old shared some Pokémon cards with the actor from How to Train Your Dragon, who recently confirmed they are dating. One of the cards she showed him was a rare Lillie’s Fairy Ex. Mckenna is currently trying to complete her Pokémon card collection, and she hinted she might be willing to trade some of her valuable cards with a fellow collector.

“Maybe, we’ll see,” she teased. “I might keep them for myself.”

Mckenna didn’t just have a fantastic Pokémon card collection; her blush pink Vera Wang gown was equally stunning. The dress, reminiscent of the silk gown Gwyneth Paltrow famously wore to the 1999 Oscars, featured a sleek, fitted top that opened into a flowing skirt and long train. She finished the look with a silver diamond necklace and a neatly styled bun.

When she’s not enjoying a special moment with her 18-year-old son, Mason, at their first Oscars, Mckenna is thinking about how rewarding it was to work with him on the movie based on the book by Colleen Hoover.

I really enjoyed working with Mason and being in a romantic storyline with him,” the former Young Sheldon star shared. “We’ve been friends for years.”

Mckenna is a big Pokémon fan and has shared her collection before. She’s been interested in the world of Pokémon for a while now.

She shared her love for Pokémon, explaining that she has four binders full of cards organized by how rare they are. ‘I’m really into it,’ she said at a Ghostbusters panel in October 2024, adding that Dragonaire is her favorite Pokémon.
