Ed shared with Today Australia on August 26 that it was around two weeks ago when Travis finally completed the task, following some encouragement from me and Scott Swift over a period of a few weeks. He had initially planned to do it, but he wanted to find the ideal way to propose and make the moment memorable for her.

One reason he wasn’t taken aback by Travis and Taylor’s call on August 10th was because they Facetimed him to share that they had gotten engaged in his garden in Missouri, which they later made public on August 26th, along with pictures of her enormous diamond ring.

In a candid admission to Today, Ed shared that many of us, including Travis’s mom and Taylor’s parents, have been anticipating this for some time. They truly make a wonderful pair, and their happiness is evident.

Ed expressed that Taylor, whom he considers a remarkable young woman, is perfectly suited to be Travis’s wife because she greatly benefits him and they match each other so harmoniously.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story started in July 2023, with their tale unfolding during her Eras Tour at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

As a devoted fan of Taylor Swift, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs eagerly attended the concert, intending to present Taylor with a friendship bracelet engraved with his jersey number. Travis expressed his disappointment during an episode of his New Heights podcast on July 26, stating that she doesn’t speak before or after her shows due to preserving her voice for the 44 songs she sings. As a result, he was somewhat disappointed because he hadn’t had the opportunity to give her one of the bracelets he had made for her.

Following an awkward slip-up that he would later call “completely disastrous,” Travis made a bold move by extending an invitation to the Grammy winner, inviting him to witness the Chiefs play live at Arrowhead Stadium.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show, “I suggested it casually, I tossed the idea of performing together at Arrowhead Stadium to her. I said, ‘You really light up that stage at Arrowhead, maybe you could come watch me do the same and see whose performance is more energetic.’ So, we’ll wait and see what unfolds in the coming days.

Travis had a mustache on him, which he grew back in August at the training camp, when he initially met Taylor for the first time.

In his recollection of that period, he remarked, “For a while, the mustache and the number 87 jersey were quite iconic. I wore it when I first encountered Taylor.

On December 17th, the musical sensation made Travis’ game a familial event by inviting her father to support him, showing up as his spectator.
