The Ocean’s trilogy, directed by Steven Soderbergh and released between 2001 and 2007 (which itself was a remake of the 1960 film starring Frank Sinatra and his crew), concluded almost twenty years ago. Now, with news of a new Ocean’s movie potentially titled Ocean’s 14, here’s a rundown of what’s been revealed so far…
- George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon & Julia Roberts are rumoured to be returning in some capacity
- The film will be a prequel
- Bradley Cooper joins the cast taking over the role that Ryan Gosling was originally slated to play and is set to star opposite Margot Robbie in the film.
- Cooper and Robbie are rumoured to be playing the parents of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean and Sandra Bullock’s Debbie Ocean characters.
- Benecio del Toro is rumoured to be the villain of the film with a shoot set to start in early 2026.
- The films title will be Oceans rather than Ocean’s 14
- Lee Isaac Chung (“Twisters”) is directing the project.
The first three films directed by Soderbergh have made over $1.1 billion worldwide, so this new fourth movie could potentially start another series of films.
