It’s a new week, and HBO Max has a bunch of fresh movies and TV shows coming soon! They’re adding at least one new title almost every day this week (with Wednesday being the exception), and you can expect even more new content on Sundays and Fridays.
This Sunday, HBO Max will release new episodes of both IT: Welcome to Derry and I Love LA, coinciding with their broadcast on HBO. However, with The Chair Company Season 1 having concluded last week, it’s the first time in a while that HBO won’t have a fresh episode available.
This Friday, HBO Max is adding a bunch of new movies and a new comedy special. Fans can stream both This Is Spinal Tap and its recent sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, for the first time on the service. Plus, Sarah Sherman’s brand new standup special will also be available.

Okay, so I just finished watching Sarah Squirm’s HBO special, Live + In the Flesh, and wow. If you know Sarah Sherman from SNL, prepare yourself for something completely different. It’s her character, Sarah Squirm, doing a full stand-up hour, and it’s…intense. Seriously, it’s gross, it’s shocking, it’s hilarious, and it’s deeply personal. She really lets loose and dives into some seriously weird and uncomfortable stuff, but in a way that’s shockingly funny. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for comedy that’s truly boundary-pushing, you need to check this out. It’s definitely going to stick with me for a while!
Saturday, December 13th
Vantara: Sanctuary Stories, Season 1 (Animal Planet)
