Over the past week, Peacock has experienced quite a boom with September’s arrival marking an influx of fresh movies and the much-anticipated debut of the spinoff series of The Office, titled The Paper. Although next week might be less action-packed for the service, Peacock still has some exciting additions lined up in the following days that viewers won’t want to miss out on.
In the early part of the upcoming week, streaming platform Peacock is set to introduce two renowned television game shows: “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune”. Commencing from Tuesday, September 9th, fresh episodes of both shows will be made available on Peacock following their initial TV broadcasts.
Throughout the week, some exciting movie titles are joining Peacock’s collection. On Wednesday, the much-anticipated sequel Puss in Boots: The Last Wish will once again grace Peacock’s lineup, offering viewers one of DreamWorks’ most powerful sequels on a streaming platform. Two days later, the service will introduce the low-budget indie-horror movie Screamboat, which continues the recent horror genre revival of public domain characters. In essence, Screamboat is a pseudo-slasher that reimagines the classic Steamboat Willie version of Mickey Mouse as its primary antagonist. Similar to Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, Screamboat intends to play with your nostalgia by transforming a beloved childhood icon into a terrifying murderer. It promises to be quite an entertaining ride!
