Fans are buzzing about Spider-Man: Brand New Day online, and many believe a trailer is coming very soon. The excitement started in December with early reports and even some leaked footage. Now that Marvel has finished promoting Avengers: Doomsday, Sony has a perfect chance to start showing off their new Spider-Man movie, which comes out in July.
Even people working in the industry aren’t making any firm promises. One writer for My Cosmic Circus recently tweeted that a trailer might be released very soon, but clarified that no specific date is known. They suggested it could happen within a few days, but admitted that’s just a guess. This kind of vague statement means anything is possible, leaving fans wondering when the trailer will actually be released.
We’re in the Right Window For a Spider-Man Trailer

It’s a good time to expect a trailer for the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie. The trailers for Homecoming and Far From Home were both released on December 8th before the films came out in early July. Since Brand New Day is scheduled for release near the end of July, a trailer should be coming very soon. The release strategy for No Way Home was different – Sony and Marvel deliberately delayed the trailer to build excitement around rumors of previous Spider-Man actors returning.
It’s best not to compare the current Spider-Man movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to the older films with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The MCU Spider-Man films are made through a special agreement between Sony and Marvel, and the details of that agreement – including any requirements it might have – aren’t public. Because of this unique partnership, the older films and the newer ones are very different, so direct comparisons aren’t very helpful.
Will the Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Release at Superbowl?

Rumors are circulating that Sony might reveal the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day during the Super Bowl on February 8th. While it’s a possibility, Sony doesn’t usually launch trailers at the Super Bowl. They’ve only teased a couple of films – 65 in 2023 and Life in 2017 – and often skip the event altogether. The last Spider-Man trailer shown during the Super Bowl was for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 back in 2014, so we shouldn’t necessarily expect one this year.
With the first official Avengers: Doomsday trailer expected during the Super Bowl, Marvel and Sony are likely being careful not to release too much marketing material at once. Previous glimpses of Doomsday weren’t full trailers—the filmmakers even called them “clues.” While a trailer for Brand New Day might be coming soon, it’s hard to predict anything beyond that without more information.
