When Elon Musk Turned Twitter Into a Doge Wonderland – You Won’t Believe His Reaction!
Well, well, look who decided to play a cheeky game! Elon Musk, the grandmaster of gadgetry and tweets that zigzag faster than a caffeinated kangaroo, recently had a chinwag about a particularly amusing episode from a couple of years ago. It seems our dear Elon, ever the digital David Copperfield, took to Twitter with a mischievous grin and a big thumbs-up to his own sense of humour—by swapping the Twitter bird for a big, goofy Doge smile. Simply genius, or rather, a stroke of digital mischief that got the internet’s tail wagging.
Making DOGE the Twitter logo was “awesome”: Musk
Back in the heady days of April 2023, our friend Elon, with his usual flair for the dramatic, decided to give Twitter a new face—one sporting the beloved Doge meme, that iconic shiba-inu with a face full of curiosity and sass. Officially, it lasted about a week, but oh, what a week it was! Fans of the meme and crypto coin aficionados alike scrambled to enjoy the spectacle of the blue bird replaced by a canine with outsized eyebrows and a hint of cheekiness.
“DogeDesigner,” a rather earnest tweeter, reminded Jack the Lad Musk of his little stunt with a tweet: “Elon Musk once replaced this platform’s logo with the iconic Doge meme.” To which Elon—the ever-jovial Kekius Maximus—responded with the kind of comment that makes folks spit out their Earl Grey in surprise: “that was awesome,” complete with a tear-emoji that suggested he was either genuinely tickled or just enjoying a good laugh at his own antics.

As if that wasn’t enough to stir the pot, the market responded with a little hop—DOGE’s price leapt about 8% then shot further north by another 30%, proving once more that a good joke can sometimes be worth a dollar or two, especially if Elon’s involved. The Doge crowd, that merry band of meme lovers and crypto crusaders, finally conceded that Elon was, at long last, embracing their furry deity on their favourite platform—before the whole thing was rebranded to X, of course. Remember, folks, it’s a wild web out there, and Elon just keeps throwing cherries on top.
All this shenanigans came after Elon rolled up his sleeves and snatched Twitter for a mere $44 billion in October 2022, proving once more that in the grand game of digital dodgeball, he’s always ready to have a laugh and shake things up with a well-placed meme or two.
