Kylie Kelce is a private person and won’t be publicly discussing details about her wedding.

It’s been almost six months since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged, but Jason Kelce’s wife – and mother to Wyatt (6), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and ten-month-old Finn – says she still doesn’t have many details about the wedding.

When asked on the Today show on January 30th if it would happen this year, Kylie responded, “I don’t know. I really have no idea.”

Okay, so Savannah Guthrie, she just kept at Kylie! It was amazing! She even used the name of Kylie’s podcast, “You’re not gonna lie?” – like she was daring her to even think about not being honest. I was on the edge of my seat, seriously!

“Yes,” Kylie laughed. “I’m not gonna lie.”

Despite everything, Kylie said she and her family were really looking forward to celebrating Taylor and Travis. She explained they were all very excited and “can’t wait.”

Okay, so everyone’s been buzzing about Taylor and Travis’s wedding, and they’ve finally given us a little peek behind the curtain! I learned from their podcast, New Heights, that they’re leaning towards a live band for both the ceremony and the reception. Travis said they’re ‘live music kind of people,’ which I think is such a fantastic choice – it really adds that special, personal touch to the day. It’s all about creating the perfect vibe, and live music is definitely the way to go!

Given that Taylor and her partner have many musician friends, it’s safe to say there will probably be multiple performers. Taylor even joked a month later that it would be difficult to keep friends like Ed Sheeran from joining the show.

Taylor explained in a recent interview that Ed Sheeran thrives on performing. She said, ‘He’s a natural performer who understands what his audience wants and always delivers.’

I’m hearing from sources close to Taylor that she’s determined to include everyone from her and Travis’s lives at their wedding! She really wants it to be a celebration with all of their friends and family, and isn’t planning on making any cuts from the guest list.

Taylor Swift jokingly said on The Graham Norton Show in October that planning her wedding will be a blast. She believes weddings are only stressful when there’s a limited guest list and difficult decisions about who to invite.

Taylor pointed out that planning a wedding often makes couples think carefully about their friendships and decide who to invite, which can sometimes be a difficult process.

“I’m not gonna do that,” Taylor shared. “It’s gonna be fun.”

It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce having a wedding date without some special significance – especially for Taylor.

As someone who really enjoys lifestyle details, I have to say I’m fascinated by numerology – I just love patterns, numbers, and especially dates! I was chatting on the New Heights podcast recently, and it’s funny because the episode dropped 13 days before my fiancé and I announced our engagement. Apparently, we’d told close friends and family about our relationship three days earlier, but the podcast release was timed with that 13-day countdown. It’s these little details that I find so much fun and meaningful!

Whether Travis continues playing football after his contract ends in 2025 will influence when they decide to get married. If he doesn’t retire, they plan to have their wedding during the off-season, sometime between February after the Super Bowl and the start of training camp in July.

If Travis retires after his 13th season—which is hard to believe—he’ll be able to get married, potentially in October, Taylor’s favorite month. The exact timing will depend on whether Taylor announces a tour for her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which was released on October 3rd, and when that tour might be.

Taylor Swift is famous for her close friendships with many celebrities, but she revealed in October 2025 that she hadn’t started planning her bachelorette party yet.

She shared on U.K.’s Heart Breakfast that people might assume she always dreamed of her wedding, but she actually never gave it much thought until she met the person she would marry.

“So, I haven’t actually even thought about doing a hen do,” she noted, invoking the British slang. “This is the first time I have thought about that.”

Plus, she added of her gal pals, “They’re so fun but they’re so busy.”

When Taylor picks out a white dress, it’s going to be one to remember.

She clearly loves them, and honestly, so do I! Zuhair Murad and J. Mendel too, those would fit her vibe perfectly.

After the wedding ceremony, where she’ll wear a beautiful gown, the tall bride plans to change into a more comfortable dress so she can dance all night.

We’re excited to see how she incorporates the traditional wedding elements – something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue – into her look.

Even Vera Wang, a leading expert on wedding dresses, believes Taylor Swift will likely wear a lace dress, and potentially multiple outfits.

Travis is also into fashion, so he’s excited to choose a wedding suit that really reflects his style.

He proposed while wearing shorts – it was a hot August day in Kansas! – and people online started jokingly challenging him to wear equally stylish shorts for his wedding. However, he probably wouldn’t want to make such a bold fashion statement and risk taking the focus away from his partner, who will be looking beautiful in her dress.

Taylor Swift jokingly reassured fans in a 2012 interview with Cosmopolitan that she hadn’t already chosen a tuxedo for her future husband, adding that she wanted him to feel important and wanted at the wedding.

Taylor and Travis both deeply value family, so their parents and brothers are naturally key people in the wedding plans. Jason Kelce, likely to be Travis’s best man, shares two young daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte, with his wife Kylie. Depending on the wedding date, their younger sister, Bennett, might also be a flower girl. However, the youngest, baby Finnley, will probably be too little to participate.

It will be interesting to see which of Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates are invited, but he was a groomsman at Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes’ wedding in 2022, so we know at least one teammate—and coach Andy Reid—will be there. Plus, he’s maintained a close group of friends from his high school days in Cleveland Heights, so his bachelor party—filled with golf and drinks—is going to be a lot of fun.

Taylor’s childhood friend, Abigail Anderson, has been a constant presence in her life. Although her group of close friends has changed over time, Selena Gomez remains a core part of her inner circle, exchanging gifts like homemade sourdough bread. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are still close too, despite recent rumors about a falling out related to Blake’s legal issues.

Also, Taylor is already a godmother to Blake and Ryan’s daughters, so she’s familiar with the role of a special helper in a wedding.

Honestly, I can totally see a friend or family member getting ordained online to lead the ceremony – it feels so much more personal! Though, as much as I love him, I don’t think Flavor Flav will be the one up there officiating, if we’re being realistic.

On the September 17th episode of New Heights, Travis shared his preference for live music, saying, “I think we’re just live music kind of people.”

Even if the bride doesn’t perform, she has plenty of talented friends who can sing – especially the band Haim!

But Taylor joked it “would be hard to keep” Ed Sheeran from performing at her wedding. 

She explained in an October 2025 interview with Hits Radio that Ed Sheeran is a natural performer. She said, ‘If there’s a stage, Ed knows he’ll be on it.’ He understands his audience and is dedicated to giving them what they enjoy.

Taylor may love Travis so much she’d marry him with paper rings, but that won’t be the case.

If Travis continues to play sports, he might wear a flexible wedding band, but otherwise, he’s set with the classic Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring he chose for his future wife, created by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.

The ring has a long, central diamond with smaller diamonds on either side, all set in yellow gold that’s been specially engraved. It perfectly complements the $27,300 Cartier watch he used when he proposed.

Just how massive will this white veil occasion be?

You know, I completely get why Taylor Swift decided against a big wedding! She shared on The Graham Norton Show that the thought of deciding who wouldn’t make the cut was just too stressful. She said it meant really having to analyze your relationships, and honestly, who needs that extra pressure when you’re planning a wedding? It’s much nicer to keep things intimate and avoid those tough conversations.

And, she added, “I’m not gonna do that.”

Comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed Taylor Swift fan, believes a large wedding is on the way. She told TopMob News at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, “Everything has been building up to this moment.”

The comedian pointed out that because Taylor Swift is constantly in the spotlight – essentially experiencing a ‘bride’ level of attention daily – her wedding will probably be kept very private.

Nikki said she knows the person just wants to share the celebration with everyone they care about, as they have a large circle of friends and family. She jokingly added that she’s anticipating photos of a helicopter flying overhead, which she suspects will somehow bother the person despite the happy occasion.

As soon as the wedding is over and the couple drives away, Taylor will definitely start sharing photos and details from her wedding with her fans.
