After a three-year break, Luffy, the Straw Hat Pirates, and the popular live-action series One Piece are coming back to Netflix for Season 2. Titled Into the Grand Line, the new season will be available sooner than many fans expect, sending the pirates on a fresh adventure.
The live-action adaptation of One Piece, which premiered in August 2023 to strong reviews and a large audience, likely became popular so quickly because all eight episodes of its first season were released at the same time, making it easy to watch all at once. With the show returning in March 2026, fans are wondering if they’ll again be able to watch all the new episodes in one sitting.
‘One Piece’ Sets Sail for a New Mission in Season 2

Netflix
The Netflix series One Piece, which premiered in August 2023, successfully brought the beloved manga to life. It tells the story of Luffy D. Monkey (Iñaki Godoy) and his Straw Hat Pirates as they journey across the ocean searching for the legendary treasure of the late Pirate King, Gold Roger (Michael Dorman). Luffy, like his crew, has unique abilities gained from consuming a mystical Devil Fruit.
After a thrilling first season of eight episodes, One Piece is back with a new adventure in Season 2! Titled The Grand Line, the new season follows the Straw Hat Pirates as they journey through a dangerous part of the ocean. Fans can expect to see beloved locations from the original manga, including Drum Island, Little Garden, and Loguetown. According to Netflix.com/Tudum, Season 2 will adapt around 60 chapters of the manga, bringing the anime up to roughly chapter 154.
Season 2 of One Piece will not only feature exciting new voyages, but also introduce several characters from the original manga who haven’t appeared in the series before. These include popular crew member Tony Tony Chopper, voiced by Mikaela Hoover, and members of the Baroque Works organization: Mr. 3 (David Dastmalchian), Crocodile (Joe Manganiello), and Nico Robin, also known as Miss All-Sunday (Lera Abova). We’ll also meet characters from Drum Island, like Dr. Kureha (Katey Sagal) and Dr. Hiriluk (Mark Harelik), and more!

Netflix
The first season of One Piece launched on Netflix on August 31, 2023, with all eight episodes available at once. It quickly became a hit, making it a perfect show to binge-watch at the end of summer. Due to its popularity, Netflix renewed it for a second season just two weeks after the initial release. Then, in August 2025, a third season was confirmed, even before Season 2 premiered.

I’m really excited for Season 2 of One Piece, but I’m also a little curious to see if it’ll be as big a hit releasing in late winter instead of summer. The good news is, Netflix is doing the same thing they did with Season 1 – they’re dropping all eight episodes at once, so we can binge-watch it right away! That definitely makes me feel better about the change in timing.
Mark your calendars! Season 2 of One Piece will arrive on Netflix on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. All eight episodes will be released at once. The season kicks off with the episode “The Beginning and the End,” written by Matt Owens and Ian Stokes, and directed by Emma Sullivan, who also directed popular episodes from Season 1. Whether you watch it all immediately or save it for the weekend, get ready for a thrilling adventure!
