Sam Raimi’s new horror film, Send Help, premiered on January 30, 2026, and is receiving rave reviews. Critics and audiences alike are loving it, giving it a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Reviewers highlight how the film effectively showcases Raimi’s talent for creating thrilling and chaotic scenes, and performances by Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien are also being praised.
The film, directed and co-produced by Sam Raimi and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (the team behind Freddy vs. Jason and the 2009 Friday the 13th remake), tells the story of a boss and employee whose plane goes down on the way to Bangkok. They find themselves stranded on a deserted island, and their difficult situation is made even worse by their mutual dislike for each other.
When Will ‘Send Help’ Be Available To Stream?

20th Century Studios
The horror movie Send Help was created by Raimi Productions and is being released worldwide by 20th Century Studios. After playing in theaters, it will be available to stream only on Hulu and Disney+.
After Disney bought 21st Century Fox in 2019, they gained complete control over where the studio’s movies are released. Because Hulu is now owned by Disney, it’s typically used for films with mature themes or graphic violence, while the more family-friendly movies go on Disney+. As a horror film, Send Help will therefore be available on Hulu.
While there’s no confirmed date yet, based on previous releases, the Sam Raimi film will probably be available to stream in about three months. Typically, it takes around three months for movies from 20th Century Studios to move from theaters to streaming services like Hulu or Disney+.
I’ve been noticing a pattern with how Hulu and Disney+ release movies, and it seems like we can predict when Send Help will hit the streamer. Films like the Springsteen documentary, Deliver Me from Nowhere, showed up on the platform about three months after their theatrical release. The same went for Rami Malek’s The Amateur. Based on that, and knowing new movies usually drop on Fridays, I’m guessing Send Help will be available on Hulu and Disney+ between April 30th and May 2nd – my money’s on May 1st.
When Will ‘Send Help’ Be Available To Rent or Buy Digitally?

20th Century Studios
Hollywood is changing how movies are released. Now, after a theatrical run, films typically become available to rent or buy digitally – through premium video on demand services – before heading to subscription streaming. Looking at Disney’s history, they usually make their big movies available for digital rental or purchase about seven to nine weeks after they premiere in cinemas.
Films like The Amateur and Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere became available for digital rental or purchase (PVOD) about two months after their initial theatrical releases. The Amateur premiered in theaters on April 11th and became available digitally on June 10th, while Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere debuted in theaters on October 24, 2025, and was released digitally on December 23rd.
Since Send Help typically releases on Tuesdays, fans who prefer to watch at home can expect it to be available on March 31st. This timing aligns with the usual release schedule for new digital content.

So, when this horror movie hits digital stores, you’ll be able to find it pretty much everywhere – I’m talking Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and YouTube. As for how much it’ll cost, expect to pay around $20 to $30 to buy it, or somewhere between $15 and $25 to rent it for a couple of days.
