Where is I’m a Celebrity South Africa filmed? Savanna location for all-stars series

The popular show I’m a Celebrity… South Africa is back next week with a new group of famous faces who will face some tough challenges.

This season of I’m a Celebrity is bringing back some popular past contestants – including Adam Thomas, Harry Redknapp, Gemma Collins, and Scarlett Moffatt – to compete in the classic Bushtucker Trials. This time, they’re all vying for the title of ultimate champion.

Similar to the previous seasons, the celebrities will compete against each other in challenges hosted by Ant & Dec, all while battling the harsh environment of South Africa, as they strive to become the second ‘I’m a Celebrity’ legend.

Ever wondered where the new series is filmed? Here’s all the information about the filming location for the ITV show.

Where is I’m a Celebrity South Africa filmed?

I’m a Celebrity South Africa is filmed in Kruger National Park, a massive game reserve in the Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces of Africa.

Kruger National Park has hosted international versions of the reality TV show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, serving as the location for the Australian, Danish, French, German, Hungarian, and Romanian adaptations of the program.

Usually, “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here” is filmed in Australia, but during the pandemic, it was filmed in Wales. Now, for a new version of the show, former contestants are going to South Africa, which is expected to be a much tougher environment.

I’m a Celebrity… South Africa returns on Monday 6 April at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
