Whitney Leavitt, Mark Ballas React to Getting First 10s of DWTS Season

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas are rejoicifying in their Dancing With the Stars win.

The star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and their dance partner were thrilled to receive the first perfect scores of season 34. They earned the 10s with their performance to “Popular” during the show’s *Wickedthemed night.

Mark said he was incredibly proud of Whitney after their performance on October 21st. He told TopMob News that the dance was very challenging and required a lot of focus, but Whitney handled it all with grace. He expressed feeling grateful and amazed by her dedication.

The dancer, however, emphasized, “10s or not, it felt very good at the end. I was proud.”

Meanwhile, Whitney echoed her partner’s feelings, simply adding, “Same.”

The reality star impressed the judges, scoring a near-perfect 39 out of 40. They received three scores of 10 and one of 9, tying for first place with Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa.

Whitney was thrilled to play her favorite character from Wicked, Glinda, at Shiz University.

I have to admit, playing the part wasn’t difficult at all,” she said with a smile. “It felt very natural, like I was just being myself, so performing it was effortless.

Performing the quickstep felt much more manageable for the 32-year-old because she and Mark had already mastered the foxtrot. They danced to “The Room Where It Happens” from Hamilton during Disney Night in week four, which gave her a solid foundation.

It felt somewhat familiar because it reminded me of the quickstep,” she said. “I was really glad about that, because I already understood some of the technique involved.

Whitney and Mark weren’t the only couple to get a perfect 10 that night. Jordan and Ezra, dancing the rumba to “For Good,” also received three 10s and a 9. Ezra finally achieved a goal they’d been working towards, and it didn’t take any magic – just great dancing!

As a lifestyle expert, I always say life’s sweetest moments are even better when shared with someone you love! This young woman recently told me she’d dreamed of achieving a perfect score on a show her whole life, and finally getting it with someone she deeply cares about made the experience unbelievably special. It just goes to show you, joy is amplified when it’s shared!

Meanwhile, Jordan reflected on how much she and Ezra have grown as partners on the dancefloor.

It feels amazing,” the 24-year-old said. “Reaching the halfway point and finally getting our first perfect scores is incredibly rewarding. It shows everyone is noticing how much we’ve improved and the direction we’re heading in.

She explained that when she’s competing, she gives it her all, holding nothing back. She feels the same way at the Olympics – she performs to the best of her ability and accepts whatever the outcome may be.

Next week, the stars will hit the dance floor for a spooky Halloween night! Find out who’s competing for the mirrorball trophy on season 34.
