Who are Katie and Harrison? Meet Race Across the World 2026 contestants

A new season of Race Across the World is here! Season 6 will follow a fresh set of teams as they embark on an incredible adventure.

The five teams start their journey tonight, April 2nd, embarking on a race covering over 12,000 miles across Europe and Asia.

I have to say, watching Harrison and Katie compete was compelling, but you could really feel the pressure on Katie when they announced their last checkpoint was all the way in Mongolia! It was clear that news threw her for a loop, and you could see her stress levels immediately rise. It added a fascinating layer to their journey.

Katie explained to TopMob that she’d prepared for a trip to Brazil, fully expecting to go. She was concerned about having the right clothes and had also heard that Mongolia gets very cold.

Who are Katie and Harrison?

Relationship: Siblings

Katie, age 21, and her brother Harrison, 23, are very close and do almost everything as a team. However, when it comes to competing, they approach it in completely different ways.

They started the race with a strategy, but their main goal was to preserve their friendship, no matter the outcome.

Katie described how their dynamic changed when they were racing compared to at home. While they playfully teased and joked with each other constantly at home, they were more polite and friendly during races. She felt this difference actually helped their relationship when they were competing.

We already had a close and solid working relationship before the race, which helped a lot. But we also made a point of staying calm and not getting on each other’s nerves, as Harrison explained.

Why did Katie and Harrison sign up for Race Across the World?

Harrison loved watching Race Across the World, so when his mom sent him the application link, he just needed to get Katie on board.

Katie shared with TopMob that while she was looking forward to the race, she felt anxious about being on television. She described it as a completely new experience for her.

Katie quickly calmed down, and actually racing helped her feel more confident.

She shared that the experience helped her gain confidence and realize it’s okay to talk to new people and travel independently without worrying. It ultimately gave her a more positive outlook on life.

Harrison explained to TopMob that his life is very structured and disciplined, which allowed him to discover a hidden part of himself. He feels a strong need to reconnect with this side of himself quickly.
