Tonight marks the commencement of the sixteenth season of The Great British Baking Show, with twelve eager amateurs stepping into the famous white tent, each dreaming of earning the title “Star Baker.
As a movie-loving aficionado, I’d say among us, there’s a unique soul named Aaron. Rather than sticking to the traditional baking path, he takes an artistic detour, channeling his creative spirit into culinary pursuits such as concocting his very own amaretto and limoncello liqueurs, along with crafting intricate baked goods and sewing exquisite garments.
In this current week, the bakers find themselves tackling a challenge called “Cake Week”. They were required to create intricate fondant fancies, but it seemed the delicate process proved challenging for Aaron.
Looking back at a memorable scene from the first episode, Aaron thought to himself, “Prue did say my dessert was not so great, and she might have been right about that.
In addition to his remarkable talent for creating fancy fondant treats, what else can we discover about Aaron? Delve deeper into the life of The Great British Bake Off 2025 competitor to uncover more fascinating details.
Who is Aaron?

Age: 38
Location: London
Job: Senior systems architect
Aaron, aged 38, resides in London along with his boyfriend Anthony. Two years back, he relocated from Manchester.
With a heart for baking, Aaron creatively blends classic French pastries with a tropical Caribbean twist. At the moment, he’s experimenting by incorporating Asian flavors such as miso and yuzu into his individually-sized creations.
After Aaron submitted his application for the show, he started to have doubts about getting accepted. When he learned that he would appear in season 16, he didn’t let himself feel overly enthusiastic because a lot could happen from that phone call to actual filming.
He mentioned that he was working at home when the phone rang, and Anthony had already overheard and started crying, without him having a chance to share the news first.
In his leisure time, when Aaron isn’t engaged in baking, he typically enjoys cycling throughout the city, learning French on his own, working out at the gym, or pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Data Analytics.
What are Aaron’s strengths and weaknesses as a baker?
As per Aaron, he believes he possesses a solid understanding of baking and creating delicious flavors. However, his main challenge lies in doubting himself, particularly when he’s short on time to reevaluate his decisions.
The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday 2nd September at 8pm.
