Who Is Dressed as a Labubu at Emmys 2025? The Truth

The 2025 Emmys are a little furrier this year.

Oh my god, the queens from *RuPaul’s Drag Race* looked absolutely incredible arriving at the Peacock Theater in LA for the awards! But seriously, Joella? She completely stole the show! Her outfit was inspired by Labubu, and it was just… breathtaking. Everyone was losing their minds, and honestly, so was I! It was a moment!

The contestant from season 17 arrived dressed as Labubu, wearing a tan, furry costume with the character’s signature ears. Only Joella’s face was visible through a circular opening, and her makeup mimicked Labubu’s eyes and teeth. She completed the look with a red dress, woven hat, red shoes, and a purse shaped like a takeout box. (You can see all the red carpet looks here.)

In a video posted to Instagram by fellow *Drag Race* contestant Jewels Sparkles, Joella introduces herself, saying, “Hi! It’s the slay-sian Labubu.”

The popular competition show has been nominated for two awards, one recognizing its host, RuPaul, and another for Outstanding Reality Competition Series. It’s up against tough competition, including *The Traitors*, *Top Chef*, *Survivor*, and *The Amazing Race* in that category.

RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked is up for an award in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category, along with America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Love on the Spectrum, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Welcome to Wrexham.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has become a regular contender at the Emmy Awards, with a total of 79 nominations and 29 wins over the years. Both the show itself and the people involved are well-recognized by the Academy.

Besides Joella, Sam Star from *Drag Race* went with a classic old Hollywood vibe, wearing a stunning white beaded dress and letting her blonde hair flow freely.

Lexi Love embraced a vibrant pink theme for her outfit. She covered herself in pink glitter, styled her hair in a high, flowing pink ponytail, and accessorized with pink heart earrings and a sparkly pink sash.
