Eddie Kadi is a British-Congolese comedian, presenter, and actor who is well-known for his work on BBC radio. He’s particularly famous for hosting the Official UK Afrobeats Charts Show on BBC 1Extra and appearing on the sports comedy panel show, Fighting Talk, on BBC Radio 5 Live.

He first performed at the O2 arena in 2010 during a comedy tour, and has been touring internationally ever since.

Before appearing on ‘I’m a Celebrity,’ Kadi was a contestant on the 2023 season of ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’ He partnered with professional dancer Karen Hauer, but they were eliminated fourth from the competition.

A common misunderstanding about me is that I’m always cheerful and never serious. People will likely be surprised to see that I can have deep and meaningful conversations. I’m actually a very approachable and empathetic person who genuinely enjoys listening to others.

I think I’d be a really positive and supportive presence at camp, making sure everyone feels included. I try not to be bossy, though. My biggest weakness is definitely mornings – I’m not a morning person and need a little time to fully wake up!

My ideal camping buddy would be Jackie Chan. He’s incredibly resourceful and would handle any obstacle we faced, plus he’d be a really interesting person to talk to.

I was really happy to hear Eddie Kadi say he jumped at the chance to be on ‘I’m a Celebrity!’ He told us it was an easy decision because he wants his daughter to be proud of him, and honestly, that’s so sweet! It’s clear family means a lot to him.

It’s such a joy watching my daughter grow up – she’s absolutely thrilled about everything, and every day feels like a new adventure for her. Honestly, if I ever achieved something huge, like winning a major award, the thing I’d be most proud of is seeing her beaming face. She’s my everything.

I’ve never actually gone camping before – the most outdoorsy thing I’ve done is probably a walk around Kew Gardens! I’ve tried a zip line, but haven’t been brave enough for bungee jumping or skydiving. This trip is just the start of a lot of new adventures for me.
