Persona 4 Golden finally has a release date and received a brand new trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase during Summer Game Fest.

The upcoming game, scheduled for release in February 2027, has fans wondering if the actors who voiced the characters in Persona 4 Golden will reprise their roles, given how beloved they are.

I have some unfortunate updates regarding the Persona 4 Golden cast. Here’s what we currently know.

Who is in the Persona 4 Revival cast?

Although Atlus hasn’t officially revealed the voice actors for the game, several original cast members have stated they won’t be involved in the remake, hinting at a completely new voice cast.

We learned in 2025, before the game was even revealed, that the original actors wouldn’t be involved.

Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor for Yosuke Hanamura, has confirmed he won’t be reprising the role in the upcoming Persona 4 remake. He stated in May 2025 that he asked the developers if he could return, and even pleaded with them, but they’ve decided to move forward with new casting.

Erin Fitzgerald, the voice of Chie Satonaka, also stated on that day that she wasn’t invited to return for the remake.

Both comments were made in social media posts that have since been deleted.

It appears Persona 4 Revival will feature a completely new English voice cast, based on current information, though other actors haven’t commented yet.

Atlus is expected to announce the game’s characters before it launches, probably later this year or in early 2027. We’ll likely see more information at Tokyo Game Show in September, too.
