The finalists for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 are set, following a challenging semi-final that saw one celebrity eliminated from the competition.
On December 13th, the final four couples on Strictly Come Dancing performed two dances each, hoping to make it to the grand final next weekend.
Once again, viewers at home got to decide who would stay in the competition, and this week Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon ended up in a dance-off against Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.
By the end of the night, Balvinder and Julian were in fourth place with a total of 70 points from their performances. Amber and Nikita were close behind in second place with 77 points, only one point behind the leaders, Karen Carney and Carlos Gu.
The two couples each danced one of their routines again. Balvinder and Julian performed their Salsa to Gloria Estefan’s “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You/Get On Your Feet,” followed by Amber and Nikita, who danced their Couple’s Choice to RAYE’s “Fly Me to the Moon.”
When it was time for the judges to decide, they all agreed to save Amber. This meant Balvinder Sopal was the tenth celebrity voted off of Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

“I’ve loved every moment,” the EastEnders actress shared with Tess Daly when discussing her experience on the show. “The competitions were tough, and it was challenging, but mostly I just enjoyed being here, in this studio, dancing with such a wonderful partner.”
I was having a year of saying ‘yes’ to everything, and that’s how I ended up on Strictly. My family has been through some tough moments, but they’ve always been my support.
Julian, a new professional on Strictly this year, praised Bal, saying she truly represents the heart of the competition. He admired her incredible spirit and said she’s inspired him to aim higher, proving that with enough determination, anyone can achieve their dreams.
“It took six dance-offs and a perfect score to take this lady out, so I am so, so proud of you!”
Tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing results included a surprise for hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman just before they leave the show.
The hosts were surprised with a video celebrating their many years on the show. It included recent interviews with the judges and clips from when they first started working with Sir Bruce Forsyth.
The judges, assisted by Kai Widdrington, presented both Tess and Claudia with a unique, golden Glitterball Trophy each.
Next week, the final three couples – Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, George Clarke and Alexis Warr, and Karen Carney and Carlos Gu – will dance for the last time, before the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is announced.
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
