*WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE STRICTLY COME DANCING WEEK 4 RESULTS SHOW*
Another contestant was eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2025 during Saturday’s exciting live show, marking the third departure this season.
Okay, let me tell you, Alex Kingston absolutely killed it on the dance floor this week! Her rumba with Johannes Radebe was truly stunning – honestly, it was practically flawless. The performance was so moving, it even visibly affected Shirley Ballas. The judges clearly agreed, because they awarded her a fantastic 36, putting her right at the top of the leaderboard for Week 4. A truly memorable performance!
I was really rooting for Lewis and Katya! They were right up there with a fantastic 34 points, and Amber and Nikita weren’t far behind with 33. Both couples did amazing!
La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard after their cha cha to Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.” The judges weren’t impressed, and they only received a total of 14 points, including a low score of 2 from judge Ballas.
Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova, along with Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell, also scored relatively low, receiving 24 and 26 points respectively.
During Sunday’s show, the judges weren’t the only ones deciding who stayed and who left. The public got to vote, and the two couples with the lowest scores from both the judges and the public then had to compete against each other in a dance-off to avoid elimination.
The couples involved were Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova, as well as Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.
Following a close competition, both Ballas and Anton Du Beke chose to keep Chris on the show, while Motsi Mabuse preferred to save Balvinder.
Craig Revel Horwood had the final say, and he chose to save Balvinder. As a result, Chris was eliminated from the show.
Following the announcement, Chris shared with Tess that he thoroughly enjoyed being on Strictly, saying, “It’s been fantastic, and I’ve had a wonderful partner.”
Chris shared that he started this experience lacking confidence, but hearing the judges say he had world-class dance skills was incredible, even though their journey is ending. He said it’s given him a real boost in confidence.
Chris shared a message for his professional partner, Nadiya, saying, “I’m sorry, but this has been an incredible experience. She’s been a fantastic teacher, I’ve grown so much, and I’ve really enjoyed it – so thank you.”
Nadiya also shared her thoughts, saying, “Chris, these past few weeks with you have been wonderful, and I’ve seen firsthand the qualities that made you a great leader and captain.”
It’s been amazing to see you grow from someone who didn’t dance or perform into the confident performer you are now. When you told me on Friday how excited you were to perform on Saturday, that meant everything – it showed you’ve really found your passion and joy in dance.
Winning the glitterball is amazing, but honestly, having you as my partner this year was the real win for me. Thank you so much.
The remaining twelve couples will return to the dancefloor next week.
