Libby Vodicka hasn’t stepped into her big sister role yet.
I was really surprised to hear, during the Age of Attraction reunion on April 1st, that despite dating for almost a year, Lexi still hasn’t met Andrew Wheeler’s daughters! It’s just… a year is a long time, and I thought for sure they’d have all met by now. It feels like a big step that hasn’t happened yet.
Andrew and his girlfriend are doing long distance—she lives on the West Coast and he’s in Baltimore with his kids. He wants to make sure their relationship is solid by living together for a bit before he introduces his girlfriend, Libby, to his children.
Navigating a long-distance relationship is definitely something my partner and I are working through. You know, being on a show like that creates this amazing, but ultimately artificial, bubble where everything feels easy and exciting. Honestly, even after the show, things felt like a honeymoon phase for a while! We’re making it work by seeing each other about once a month – we travel back and forth between L.A., Florida, and Baltimore – and really prioritizing enjoying our time together. It’s all about making those moments special.
I haven’t had the chance to truly see how we function together in everyday life, spending real time together outside of dates,” she said. “I don’t want to introduce someone to my life unless I’m sure they’re the one I’ll be with long-term.
Andrew explained he wants to protect his daughters and doesn’t want them to become close to Libby if the relationship doesn’t last.

She was also drawn to Andrew because of how he is as a father. She’d previously mentioned on the show that she envisioned herself as more of a big sister to his daughters than a stepmother.
Plus, Libby revealed that she and Andrew hope to move to Florida and have kids together as well.
She shared at the reunion that becoming a mother has always been a dream of hers. Learning he had children made her see him in a new light and consider him a more suitable partner. They seem to be on the same page about starting a family – he doesn’t want to wait too long, and she hopes to become a mom relatively soon, even if not right away.
He explained that he wants to live together first, to see if the relationship is progressing towards marriage and a lifelong commitment, before introducing her to his family.
Andrew explained that his daughters are aware of Libby, but he wouldn’t propose until they’d had a chance to meet her first.
He joked that it would be awkward to casually mention his fiancée. However, he confirmed he’s planning to propose and is heading towards getting engaged.

When Nick asked Libby if Andrew’s actions made her doubt his feelings for her, she explained that she admired how Andrew understood it wasn’t right to introduce a new partner to his close relationship with his daughters.
It’s really tough for me to discuss things when children are involved. I always want to be respectful because they didn’t choose to be in the public eye, and it’s not my place to talk about someone else’s family. I truly admire how mature he is about handling everything, and I want to honor that.

She shared at the reunion that becoming a mother has always been a dream of hers. Learning he had children changed how she viewed him, making her see him as a more suitable partner. They seem to agree on wanting children relatively soon – he doesn’t want to wait too long, and she’s eager to become a mom, though perhaps not immediately, but definitely in the future.
Find out what happened to the other couples from season one of Age of Attraction by continuing to read and catching up with them.

Even though there was a 20-year age difference, Pfeifer decided to move from Seattle to Dallas to attempt a relationship with the father of two, a move she described as a sacrifice.
She told him at their commitment ceremony how incredibly lucky she felt to have found him. ‘So many people search their whole lives for what we have,’ she said, ‘and I would be heartbroken if I left here without you. I might regret it forever.’
A year later, Derrick went to the reunion alone. It turned out to be too difficult for Pfeifer to relocate across the country, and they ended their relationship about a month after the show was filmed.
He found out she lived near college fraternities and sororities when he mailed her belongings back to Seattle from Dallas. He commented that she was still living a college lifestyle, but was about to start a very different life – caring for a five-year-old with her new partner. He thought that was a big change.

Theresa received a supportive letter from her three grown children, which gave her the confidence to move forward with her relationship despite the age difference (she was 54, he was 27). Feeling validated, they decided to pursue their love and have a commitment ceremony.
Knowing they wrote that to you makes me feel so much better and happier. I hadn’t seen it before. That’s why I don’t want to end things here,” she said. Privately, she admitted, “What really matters is our connection, not how long we’ve known each other.”
During a reunion episode airing in April 2026, the couple announced they had broken up. Theresa explained that John’s sister and another person from the show made her feel self-conscious about getting older. She said these feelings overwhelmed her, and John wasn’t able to offer the support she needed.
Honestly, it just broke my heart hearing Theresa talk about how she needed someone to just be there for her, to tell her everything was okay, but she felt totally alone. And John totally got it! He explained that age really shouldn’t have mattered, but she was so self-conscious about everyone staring, about us being seen together. It was like the world was judging us, and it really hurt her, and me too, just thinking about it.

Vanessa was eager to start a relationship with Logan, even saying she wanted to share her life with him, but Logan was unsure. He worried about their age difference – she was twenty years older – and wasn’t sure he could give her what she wanted.
He questioned whether their relationship was good for them, using words like “toxic” and “healthy.” On Commitment Day, he asked for the promise ring back, signaling his doubts.
Once they were free from their past commitments, Logan was finally ready to fully commit to her, and surprisingly, he proposed.
He described the relationship as an exciting and intense journey, but one he’s fully committed to. He expressed his deep love for the person, saying they deserved all the good things life has to offer, including a championship ring like those given to Kobe Bryant’s teammates.
He proposed with an engagement ring, asking her if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. She happily accepted, making this her fifth engagement.

Chris, 15 years younger than Leah, ended the relationship because he felt overwhelmed by her constant desire to be with him.
We’ve discussed our differing views and were upfront about what we each expect in a relationship from the beginning. It seems we both want the same things long-term – a family and a stable life – but perhaps we envision achieving those goals at different speeds. He also felt the age gap created unnecessary stress and made it difficult for him to be his authentic self, something he hadn’t experienced before.
As he put it, “That’s why ultimately, I feel that this partnership is not right.”
So, how did Leah react to the breakup?
I always hoped someone would choose me, but I refused to chase after it. I also realized I can’t change someone into the person I want them to be. I came to the retreat hoping to find love, but it didn’t happen. Ultimately, I discovered a lot about myself – I’m a strong, smart, and beautiful woman, and I know my future partner will be lucky to have me.

He worried that he was holding Libby back from enjoying her twenties, but she told Andrew, who is sixteen years older than her, that she believed he would only enhance her life.
“It feels like it’s finally my turn to be happy,” he told her, smiling. “I know I’m being a little corny, but I’ve been thinking about where things could go from here. I’m not sure what people call it now—like, officially becoming a couple—but I’d really like to start dating you.”
Libby agreed, with the pair making plans for her to go to Baltimore to meet his daughters.
I was so happy to see they were still together at the April 2026 reunion! It wasn’t easy, though – they were making it work long distance, with plans to eventually both move to Florida. He was also hoping to spend some time back in Baltimore, so it was a bit complicated, but they seemed really committed to making it all work.
She hadn’t yet met his children, and Andrew explained they were still working through the challenges of being far apart before introducing them.
He described their relationship as still feeling new and exciting, explaining that they only see each other once a month. He added that they haven’t had a chance to see how things would work when facing the challenges of everyday life together, since they haven’t spent much quality time together.

Despite a significant age difference—he was 33 years older than her—the couple didn’t last until the final Commitment Day. They broke up while still living together, due to disagreements about Vanelle’s choice to remain celibate and an incident where Jorge confronted someone on the street.
However, she noted, “I don’t necessarily think it has anything to do with his age.”
Vanelle explained that misunderstandings with Jorge stemmed from a lack of clear communication about their boundaries. Specifically, romantic moments created confusion about whether they were still abstaining, and they never had a detailed discussion about it.
He confessed he still had feelings for her, telling her their connection was incredibly deep. She agreed, admitting she had often thought of him as her husband and felt there was no one else.
