Amy Slaton is getting candid about her weight loss.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m SO excited for the next episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters! Amy is trying to get in shape for her wedding to Brian Lovvorn – a bungee fitness class, can you believe it?! But it’s been tough, you can just feel her struggle. She’s been so open about everything since her gastric bypass in 2019, and losing 200 pounds has been way harder on her body than anyone realizes. I just want her to be happy and healthy for her big day!
Amy recently shared that she’s been making great progress with her weight loss, but now that she’s losing weight, she’s starting to feel more self-conscious about it, according to an article in People magazine.
While taking a bungee exercise class, the 38-year-old woman experienced a recurring problem: the bungee cord repeatedly snagged on loose skin between her legs.
Amy explained that the harnesses weren’t designed for people with a lot of extra skin, adding that her own excess skin would get caught between the strap and her leg.
The reality TV personality also struggled with the bungee cords, falling and landing on the floor.
She firmly stated she was finished with it and wouldn’t repeat the experience, emphasizing she didn’t want to be put in that difficult situation again.
Despite a few hiccups, Amy and Brian had the perfect wedding day. They got married in Kentucky on Halloween 2025, just five months after getting engaged.

She told People magazine that her wedding felt like a dream come true, and she was finally getting the happy ending she’d always hoped for.
Amy, who has two sons – 4-year-old Gage Deon and 3-year-old Glenn Allen – with her former husband Michael Halterman, expressed her happiness about getting married, saying it meant she wouldn’t be lonely anymore.
I’ve found my soulmate, Brian, and he makes me incredibly happy,” she shared. “He’s truly one of the kindest and most thoughtful people you could ever meet!”

Amy explained, “He didn’t just win me over, he also quickly connected with my sons, which is rare – a lot of men aren’t eager to date a single mom with two active boys!”
And Amy was especially grateful that Brian inspired her to be a better version of herself.
She shared that he always puts her and her sons first, willingly sacrificing his own needs for theirs. He’s equally excited about adventures and cozy nights at home, always making time to play games with the boys.
