Why Cardi B Says She’s No Longer Undergoing Butt Reduction

Cardi B won’t be ring, ring, ring, ringing up her surgeon’s office after all.

After initially talking about getting another butt reduction, the rapper known as “Bodega Baddie” has decided against the surgery.

She explained to Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones on the March 24th episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle that she’d initially considered a small cosmetic procedure, but decided she didn’t have the time for it.

The Grammy-winning artist, who recently had a baby boy with Stefon Diggs and shares children Kulture (7), Wave (4), and Blossom (18 months) with her soon-to-be ex-husband Offset, is now focusing on self-acceptance and embracing her body, imperfections and all.

Cardi B, 33, says she’s happy with her body right now. She acknowledges she has cellulite – whether from aging or having four children, she’s not sure – but overall, she feels good about herself.

“I’m loving my imperfections and everything,” she continued, “and I feel really comfortable.”

Okay, so I’ve been following Cardi B closely, and this is HUGE. Remember how she got a butt reduction back in January? Well, get this – she’s now talking about wanting it smaller again! It’s like, she’s constantly refining her look, and honestly, I’m living for it. It’s a total shift from what she did just a few months ago, and I’m obsessed with seeing what she does next with her body. I’m seriously checking every source for updates!

After her current tour ends, she plans to completely disconnect and relax. She revealed backstage at a February concert in Los Angeles, on the Big Boy’s Neighborhood radio show, that she’s going to Colombia and doesn’t want to be contacted by anyone for three months – she just wants to get away from it all!

Oh my gosh, months ago, she already warned us how long and hard recovery would be! She totally laid it all out – it wasn’t going to be a quick fix, and she wanted everyone to know exactly what she was going through. I was paying attention, of course, because I follow everything she does!

She explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast that her previous butt reduction surgery was extremely invasive, requiring her to be cut from both the top and bottom and spend three months recovering in bed. Because of this, she’s decided against having the procedure again, stating she’s accepted her body as it is and won’t risk such a recovery just to please others.

Cardi B isn’t alone – many celebrities have openly discussed getting plastic surgery. Read on to discover more stars who have shared their experiences with cosmetic procedures.

As someone who’s followed beauty and wellness trends for years, I’ve always admired celebrities who are open about their journeys. Recently, I was listening to Sophia Bush’s Whine Down podcast, and she was incredibly candid about some procedures she’s had – things like Botox and breast implants. She even shared one regret she has about getting her breast implants, which I think is really relatable – it’s so important to be honest about all aspects of these decisions!

Okay, so I had to share what she finally revealed! She posted on Instagram in July 2024, and she basically confirmed some things! She gets a little bit of Botox – she calls it ‘tox’ – in her elevens, around her eyebrows, and on her neck. She actually had her neck done with someone called @theneckdoctor way back in 2019! She’s admitted to tiny amounts of lip filler because she says her face is too small for much, and a little in her chin. But she swears she hasn’t had filler anywhere else, and definitely no eyelid surgery yet! She said she’d keep us updated if she gets anything else done, and honestly, I’m glued to her page!

I wanted to share something personal with everyone. I recently had a lower facelift and a few other little procedures done. I also had a fat transfer to my hands – honestly, I’ve always been self-conscious about them. The most difficult part, and surprisingly the most painful, was actually the liposuction on my leg to get the fat for my hands! I never expected that to be the worst of it.

The Valley star revealed she underwent facial liposuction before filming the Bravo spinoff.

I remember being on Today back in 2013 and telling everyone I was one of the very first to be open about it, and I totally would do it all over again! It’s crazy, but my lips actually launched my career – I didn’t really have a career before them, you know? They’ve had a life of their own!
