Luke Hemsworth jokingly offered to join his brothers, Chris and Liam Hemsworth, in a future movie. The oldest Hemsworth brother, whose new film Beast comes out on April 10th, shared that the three siblings have frequently discussed the possibility of working together.
Luke shared with TopMob News that he’s eager to take on a new project. “We’ve been discussing options,” he said, “and we’re all waiting for the perfect opportunity to come along.”
And the time in their busy schedules, that is.
The 45-year-old quipped that they need to book Chris far in advance – about two years, he estimated – because Chris is so popular and busy.
Despite the current situation, the Westworld actor remains optimistic about the possibility. “I’m really hoping it will,” he explained, adding, “So, if any writers are interested, we’d love to hear from them.”
The actor, who has four children – Holly, 16, Ella, 15, Harper, 13, and Alexandre, 12 – with his wife, Samantha Hemsworth, is willing to work with his brothers, but he’s more cautious about his kids becoming famous.
Luke shared that his children have all expressed an interest in acting, but he’s hesitant to encourage it. He told TopMob his youngest daughter is particularly keen on becoming an actor, and he’s actively trying to talk her out of it.
He wants his children to pursue their own passions and find happiness, and he fully supports that. However, he also hopes they’ll gain more experience with life along the way.
Recently, Luke landed a role in the film Beast, which tells the story of a former MMA fighter who is forced to return to the ring.
And working with fellow Aussie Russell Crowe, who also co-wrote the film, was a total knockout.
He explained that working with someone as talented as Russell is a huge learning opportunity, and it’s important to absorb as much as you can from them. He always makes a point of observing experienced and successful actors, hoping to learn from their expertise and improve his own work.
Luke actively seeks advice from experienced actors, but he playfully admits his brothers aren’t quite as helpful when it comes to giving feedback.
He joked that Chris constantly teases him about his hair, and that’s pretty much the only feedback he ever gets from him.
