Why DWTS’ Carrie Ann Inaba Is Missing the Season 34 Premiere

The judge from *Dancing With the Stars* won’t be at the season 34 premiere because she’s sick, but she hasn’t shared what’s wrong.

Carrie announced on Instagram on September 16th that she won’t be performing tonight because she’s not feeling well. She’s taking time to rest and hopes to be back on stage next week.

Even though she won’t be appearing alongside judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli in the first episode of the season, the 57-year-old will still be cheering on the celebrity contestants, including Alix Earle, Corey Feldman, Robert Irwin, and Dylan Efron.

Carrie wished all the contestants good luck and said she’d be rooting for them from home.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m seriously freaking out! Apparently, my absolute FAVORITE judge on *Dancing With the Stars* – the one I’ve been watching since 2005! – won’t be there for the very first show on September 16th! And it’s not just them, other people who’ve been on the show for ages won’t be doing their usual thing either. I’m devastated!

Sasha Farber, a professional dancer who first appeared on *Dancing With the Stars* in 2013 with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and most recently partnered with Jenn Tran from *The Bachelorette* on season 33, will not be participating in the next season of the show.

Despite turning 41, Sasha will still be involved with the competition series. ABC announced the day before the show’s 34th season began that she’ll be giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the premiere day events.

The official *Dancing With the Stars* Instagram announced they’ll be going live on TikTok with Sasha Farber tomorrow to celebrate the show’s premiere. The post asked fans, “Ready for more behind the scenes?” and included the hashtag #DWTS.

Sasha is really looking forward to the shift in activity. He enthusiastically replied to the announcement, saying he couldn’t wait to give everyone a tour of the ballroom and show them what goes on behind the scenes!
