Travis Kelce may have shared an easter egg of his own.
Before the release of Taylor Swift‘s upcoming album, attendees of the Life of a Showgirl Spotify event in New York City on September 30th – which included photo opportunities, decorated rooms, exclusive merchandise, and other features – spotted possible lyrics that might appear on her album, set to release October 3rd. Interestingly, one of these clues seemed to connect with something Travis had previously revealed.
At the event, a hand mirror on a vanity displayed the phrase “Keep it 100,” with the numbers ‘100’ styled to look like the red, underlined 100 emoji. This was a deliberate reference to Travis’s very first Instagram post featuring Taylor, from back in July. In that post, he captioned a photo saying he’d “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it [100 emoji].”
The post from July 24th was published several weeks before Taylor revealed the album on Jason Kelce and Travis’s New Heights podcast on August 12th.
One fan, sharing a photo of the hand mirror on X, commented, “he left a hidden clue before the album was even announced!”
Someone else in the comments also highlighted an interesting connection: 87 plus 13 equals 100. This is because Travis wears jersey number 87 for the Chiefs, and 13 is reportedly Taylor’s lucky number.
At the Spotify event, fans discovered another possible hint related to Taylor Swift’s lyrics. The phrase, “Oftentimes it doesn’t feel so glamorous to be me,” was written on a mirror using lipstick. Interestingly, when a fan searched for that exact phrase on Apple Music, the unreleased song “Elizabeth Taylor” supposedly appeared in the results.
Then, when someone else typed the phrase, “I heard you calling,” – which was inscribed on a megaphone decoration – they discovered that the song, The Fate of Ophelia, played.
This isn’t the first instance of Travis discovering Taylor’s easter eggs. Previously, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end mentioned that he was aware the Grammy winner had hidden clues during her August 12th appearance on a podcast.
He mentioned on the August 27th episode of New Heights that she really enjoyed sharing details about the album, “and of course, including some hidden clues to see if fans would notice them.”
For more clues meticulously planted by Taylor ahead of her upcoming album, read on.
Taylor Swift clearly had a specific purpose for displaying a countdown clock on her website, counting down to “12 AT 12:12 AM ET” with a sparkly orange backdrop. It wasn’t just a random design choice.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what happened on August 12, 2024! I was scrolling through photos and saw Taylor looking absolutely incredible in this matching plaid miniskirt and cropped jacket. Seriously, the outfit was perfection! And get this-everyone was saying it reminded them of *Clueless*, but honestly, she made it totally her own. There was nothing clueless about it, she completely slayed!
As observant fan Kristen (@perfectlyfine89) noticed, Taylor seems to be intentionally looking at the camera. Additionally, the orange and green pattern of her clothes matches the color scheme of the cover for The Life of a Showgirl, a book Taylor later revealed she was connected to, exactly one year later, on the Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce‘s New Heights podcast.
A short preview released at 12:12 a.m. ET on August 12, 2025, showed Taylor Swift with a light-green briefcase. The case had the initials “T.S.” on it in orange, and she used it to reveal the cover art for what will be her 12th studio album. The cover is currently blurred, but appears to feature green and orange colors.
Naturally, Taylor seems to really love plaid patterns, and she even showcased a tartan print at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards-during which she famously mentioned “my boyfriend Travis“.
The Life of a Showgirl can now be preordered from Taylor’s website. The website states that any physical copy you order-whether it’s a vinyl record, CD, or cassette tape-will be sent out before October 13th.
Okay, it’s well known that Taylor has a thing for the number 13. But, as Kristen pointed out, October 3rd (or 10-3) also adds up to 13, and it happens to be both National Plaid Day and National Boyfriend’s Day. Check out the image above.
Looking back at things in Taylor Swift’s world is always crystal clear. On August 11th, the official Taylor Nation social media accounts shared a post with 12(!) photos of Taylor performing while wearing different orange outfits. The post’s caption read, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…'”
Okay, so I’m losing it over this! Travis and Jason were being so cagey, hinting at a “VERY special guest” on a “special episode” of New Heights-which, by the way, drops Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. ET-and honestly, even a newbie Swiftie like me could see it was obviously a silhouette of Taylor in the post! I mean, come on, it was practically screaming her name! I’m so ready for this!
To celebrate the event, the Empire State Building was lit up in orange ahead of time. The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the New York City landmark shared a photo of the building, now matching the new color scheme, on August 11th at 1:45 p.m. ET. The post simply said, “See you next era.“
A TikTok video from October 18, 2024, captured Taylor Swift during her first Miami show of the Eras Tour. In the video, she’s standing in front of section A12 at Hard Rock Stadium – a playful nod to her album 1989 (released August 12th)?!
She then stunned the crowd with a sparkly orange bodysuit while announcing, “Miami, we are so back!” Following that, she wore a green skirt and orange bustier during the 1989 segment of the show, and a very glamorous white feathery outfit as she powerfully sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”?
Her way of saying that her next album was finished and this is what it looks like?
It’s true that orange and green are also official colors of the Miami Hurricanes-and it’s perfectly possible for multiple things to be correct simultaneously.
A Spotify playlist already exists with the fitting title “And, baby, that’s show business for you,” and it prominently features the now well-known orange T.S. initials set against a green backdrop.
There are, ahem, 22 previously released Taylor Swift songs, all created by the successful Swedish producers Max Martin and Shellback (also known as Karl Johan Schuster). This has led fans to believe she wrote the entire The Life of a Showgirl album while touring in Europe, and that these two helped her finish it.
Viewers of the New Heights podcast spotted several boxes in the background – orange, red, white, and purple – each marked with the initials “T.S.” This led to speculation about different versions of the album or the possibility of additional music being released.
Taylor herself liked a fan theory on X (formerly Twitter) that pointed out how Lady Gaga released her song “Applause” 12 years to the day on Aug. 12 when Taylor announced Life of a Showgirl. The significance? Taylor had used “Applause” as her lead-in song before opening the Eras Tour each night, along with Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me.”
Taylor reacted positively to a fan’s post suggesting a potential collaboration with Lady Gaga, writing: “Is this just the most insane coincidence or like is she clinically insane.”
Fans, known as Swifties, started wondering if Sabrina Carpenter might be part of Life of a Showgirl after she showed up in the 12th picture of a photo set posted by Taylor Nation, hinting at what’s coming next. Plus, Sabrina shared a message on her website revealing the date August 12th.
