Harry Jowsey’s digital footprint could’ve doubled as a storyline on Catfish.
Harry Jowsey, known from Too Hot to Handle, recently shared a story about how a fake Ask.fm account seemingly caused Gigi Hadid to block him on social media back in 2015.
During the January 12th episode of the So Alli podcast, 28-year-old Harry revealed a secret he’d kept throughout his career. He then asked host Alli Simpson if she remembered the website Ask.fm.
After Cody Simpson’s sister shared that she’d had an account on the now-defunct Q&A site but never used it, Harry responded by saying he knew about a different account that pretended to be Alli Simpson. He explained that he’d been led to believe it was her, and they had even engaged in a playful online interaction.
The reality TV star explained how he reacted when Alli, age 27, said she wasn’t connected to the online troll account.
Oh my god, I still can’t believe it. I was just a sixteen-year-old kid, totally wasted in New Zealand, and she tweeted that a rumor about her wasn’t true. But I was so convinced she and Alli were together, I just blurted it out in the comments on one of her posts – something about us being together and, well, losing our virginities to each other. Her whole family piled on me in the comments, it was brutal! And then she replied, just… ‘Be cool, bro.’ ‘Be cool, bro!’ I’ve replayed that moment in my head a million times. It was everything.
As for how Cody responded to the accusation? Harry noted, “He blocked me.”
Harry also said Gigi, who was dating Cody then, blocked him after his tweet, not just the Simpsons.
He explained that he’s been blocked by her ever since they met, and still is. He added with a laugh that he’s never mentioned it to anyone, always wondering if she even remembered it happening.

This isn’t the first time the reality star has been criticized for creating a false romantic connection. Back in February 2022, he admitted to feeling like he’d acted badly when he played along with rumors about a relationship with Khloe Kardashian.
He dismissed the rumors about a past relationship discussed on his old Tap In podcast. ‘Honestly, I wish those stories were true,’ he said, ‘but they aren’t. If something like that had actually happened, we’d both be financially secure now.’
Harry says the rumor began after he mentioned on his Instagram Stories that he was planning to surprise someone with gifts. He claims a celebrity gossip account incorrectly suggested he was involved with a Kardashian, so he jokingly posted a picture of himself with flowers in a Bentley to make light of the situation.
Khloe quickly denied the rumors, posting on Instagram that they were completely false.
Harry is on good terms with Gigi and Khloe, but here’s a look at other celebrities who’ve had public disagreements on social media…

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)
He assured Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they went through a personal issue, but it’s separate from their work on the show and wasn’t a romantic matter. He wanted to make that clear.
In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.
Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to be clear that I didn’t help them get the part by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that actor Danny Masterson, known from “That ’70s Show,” was the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a very rude and unpleasant person.
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk after she mispronounced his name.
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this business?’ Her response was blunt: ‘Listen, young man, don’t underestimate me, because I’ll completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea what you’re up against.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, the wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, and expressed her appreciation for a feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, saying Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Cameron Bure publicly apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and was truly sorry for not taking the picture.
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in holiday films, she said it wouldn’t. She explained that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.
As a big supporter of JoJo, I was really disappointed to see the actress’s comment. JoJo, who bravely shared they’re part of the LGBTQ+ community back in 2021, rightfully called it out as being rude and deeply hurtful to so many people. It’s just not okay, and I’m glad JoJo spoke up.

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for Hole in a promotional photo without proper credit. Olivia simply responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, thanking Olivia and offering to share details about her favorite florist in London, inviting Olivia to message her for more information.

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained why he and the Forrest Gump star didn’t get along while filming the 1989 movie Turner & Hooch.
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to go home – that I had everything I needed.
Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to hit it off. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said, “we got along great.”
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”
Those who watched The Hills will likely recall Lauren’s famous line from the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about a sex tape involving her and Jason Wahler.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had another public disagreement after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was moved to April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still part of the cast.
Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that they still haven’t spoken directly, though he hopes to. He mentioned he had talked to one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not Johnson himself.
Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations he’d heard from others connected to the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, which he acknowledges was a mistake, calling it unprofessional and ‘not cool’.

No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during concert tours, was resolved when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.
Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.
During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall’s statement to Piers Morgan that they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.
She was deeply upset, saying she was “just heartbroken.” They had talked about it all week, and she found it really disturbing because her memory of what happened was completely different.
It’s upsetting, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. While it started as a professional endeavor, it became deeply personal because of the years we all invested in it. I hope that strong, positive connection will outweigh any recent disagreements. Having spent so many years creating something special and meaningful with others is a real gift.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award at the Q Awards that year, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously told the audience, “Madonna, best live act? That’s ridiculous!” He went on to say that lip-syncing shouldn’t be considered a live performance, and jokingly suggested that performers who lip-sync during paid concerts should face consequences.

The actress, formerly known for her role on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to be removed from Emmy Award consideration. She explained that she didn’t believe the storylines she was given were strong enough to justify a nomination.
Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure during a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “I’ve learned to trust what people show me about themselves,” Shonda explained. “It’s a lesson that’s really helped me.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major headline. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what started the argument with Nicki.
Cardi B recently told W magazine that someone has been consistently criticizing her. She explained that they’d talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.
The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had seemingly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting – something Nicki claims she didn’t do.
Cardi B explained she turned down a potentially hugely profitable Bruno Mars tour because she wanted to be with her daughter. She emphasized how much she loves her daughter and considers herself a great mom. She responded to criticism about a recent public encounter with another artist, saying opportunities like that don’t come around often, and she wasn’t going to wait to meet someone in a random place like a grocery store.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They eventually reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.
Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”
The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview when Mariah was asked about other singers, including Jennifer. When asked about J.Lo specifically, Mariah famously said, “I don’t know her.”
