When it comes to her exes, Jennifer Lopez alleges she never had their love.

The 56-year-old made a shocking claim several months after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, who is her fourth ex-husband.

During an appearance on *The Howard Stern Show* on October 15th, Jennifer Lopez was asked if she believes she’s ever been genuinely loved, and she responded with a simple, “No.”

Jennifer Lopez, who has been married to Marc Anthony and shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with him, and was previously engaged to Alex Rodriguez, recently spoke about her own experiences with love. She also shared her thoughts on why her past relationships haven’t always worked out, before reconnecting with Ben Affleck in 2021.

Jennifer explained to Howard Stern that the issue isn’t that she’s unlovable, but rather that the people she’s been with weren’t capable of loving her properly.

The actor, known for his role in *The Kiss of the Spider Woman*, explained that people often lack self-worth. He urged them to value and love their inner selves.

Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about her past relationships, including her divorce from Ben Affleck, her marriage to Marc Anthony, and her engagement to Alex Rodriguez. She revealed what she believes is a recurring pattern among all of her former partners.

During his October 15th SiriusXM show, Howard Stern directly asked Jennifer if she believed she’d ever experienced true love, and she responded with a sigh, admitting that she hadn’t.

Looking back on her past relationships, the 56-year-old mother of 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme (with Marc), readily explained what she believes caused her romances to fail – and suggested it had less to do with her and more to do with issues her ex-partners had.

Jennifer realized it wasn’t a reflection of her worth, but rather a limitation within others. She explained that some people simply aren’t able to love fully, and need to work on self-love and appreciating their own inner selves.

However, that doesn’t mean they didn’t make an effort. As she pointed out, her past partners did the best they could.

Jennifer described how Ben consistently showered her with gifts and grand gestures. ‘He offered me everything – the houses, the rings, even marriage,’ she said, recalling their on-again, off-again relationship, which had started with an engagement twenty years earlier before being rekindled in 2021.

Despite all of that, it still wasn’t enough, as Howard observed. He said, “But they didn’t love you,” and the *Hustlers* star simply responded, “They didn’t,” then added, “And I didn’t love myself either.”

 

She explained that having a career with this level of fame always involves some trade-offs. You have to make adjustments in your life, but overall, it’s a very fortunate position to be in.

Despite eventually separating, Jennifer and Ben have remained friends. He even supported her by attending the premiere of her new film, *Kiss of the Spider Woman*, in New York City on October 6th. This followed their discussion of how they viewed fame differently in her 2024 documentary, *The Greatest Love Story Never Told*.

And the Oscar winner, who is an executive producer on the film, sung his ex’s praises.

Speaking at the film’s New York City premiere on October 6th, he told TopMob News that Jennifer is “incredible” and “fabulous” in the movie.
