Why Jessica Simpson Is “Into Younger Men” After Eric Johnson Breakup

Jessica Simpson is sharing a little bit of what she’s looking for.

Following her breakup with Eric Johnson earlier in the year, the singer of “With You” has been openly discussing her dating life and what qualities she finds attractive in a partner.

Jessica recently shared with *Extra* that she’s currently attracted to younger men. She explained that after her recent separation, she’s found younger men are drawn to the self-assurance of a more experienced woman.

Okay, seriously, can we talk about how amazing she is? She’s a mom to three incredible kids – Maxwell, who’s thirteen, Ace, twelve, and little Birdie, who’s six with Eric – and she just *radiates* happiness! She says it all comes down to this, and it’s so perfect: she’s just genuinely having fun! It’s everything, honestly. She’s living her best life and I’m here for it!

Okay, seriously, Jessica is just *killing* it right now! It’s like she’s fully entering a new phase of her career, and I am LIVING for it. And get this – she’s going to be in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama, *All’s Fair*! I mean, Ryan Murphy! It’s going to be amazing, I just *know* it. I’ve already marked my calendar!

Jessica shared with TopMob News’ Erin Lim Rhodes at the show’s premiere that turning 45 feels like a fresh start. She described it as a rebirth for her career in entertainment, and said it feels wonderful.

Not to mention, she’s also celebrating performing again after releasing new music.

She said the fifteen-year gap felt like a really long time. She hadn’t planned on being away for so long, but then she had another child. At that point, she decided to focus on being a mom and building her Jessica Simpson collection as much as she could.

But now, for the Dukes of Hazzard star, it’s full speed ahead.

You won’t believe my reaction when I got the call about *All’s Fair*! I honestly thought it was a mistake – like, ‘Ryan Murphy actually wants *me* for this?’ It’s such a departure for me. I’m typically cast in comedic roles – you know, the funny, lighthearted, ‘dumb blonde’ type. This project is the complete opposite of anything I’ve ever done, and I’m thrilled for the challenge!

So much so, that Jessica is already missing her time on set.

I worked with incredible actresses like Naomi Watts, Kim Kardashian, and Niecy Nash. They all had a calm self-assurance that helped me really get into character and focus on listening. It was a fantastic experience, and I’m eager to do something similar again.
