Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have found a beautiful thing outside of Hollywood. 

The actor, who has been with their partner for a long time, recently explained why they love spending time in Colorado, where they often travel alongside Los Angeles.

Kurt, 75, shared in a recent Fox News interview that his greatest joy is seeing his daughter, Goldie, thrive in Colorado. He also expressed a desire to spend more time there himself, noting the state offers a different, appealing lifestyle and he hopes to be able to visit as often as possible.

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn aren’t the only family members who love Colorado. Their son, Wyatt Russell, his wife Meredith, and their two young sons, Buddy and Joseph, also moved there from California. The family often gathers at their Aspen home for the holidays, including Goldie’s children Oliver and Kate Hudson, and Kurt’s son Boston Russell.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Kurt just confirmed it! He and Goldie, bless her heart at 80, actually bought this incredible log cabin – a full-on lodge! – on a ranch way back when they first started dating. He told The Wall Street Journal in a March 20th interview that his Old Snowmass home is his favorite. He enjoys waking up to mountain views, riding horses after visiting the barn, and relaxing by the fireplace.

As for what inspired The Madison star to also build his blossoming legacy in both states?

He recently told Men’s Health that he moved to Colorado at age 26 because he realized he needed to start living the life he always talked about. However, his work was still mostly based in Los Angeles, so he’s been living between the two places ever since.

He added that he had no regrets. He was happy with how his life had unfolded and grateful he could continue working in his field.
