Why Lauren Collins Didn’t Participate in New Degrassi Documentary

Lauren Collins wasn’t too interested in this high school reunion.

A new documentary about the TV show *Degrassi* debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13th, featuring former cast members like Drake and Miriam McDonald. However, McDonald recently explained why she chose not to be involved.

Lauren, who played Paige Michalchuk on *The Next Generation* for its first eight seasons until 2008, recently told TopMob News that she didn’t feel ready to return to the show. She expressed immense pride and gratitude for her time on the series, noting she’s been discussing it for 25 years and is glad to revisit it when she feels comfortable.

While she wasn’t featured in the documentary *Degrassi: Whatever It Takes*, which explores the show’s almost 40-year run, she shared that she’s heard good things and is looking forward to watching it.

For the actress known for *My Dead Mom*, getting together with former *Degrassi* costars like Nina Dobrev, Shane Kippel, Adamo Ruggiero, Stacey Farber, Cassie Steele, and others for Drake’s “I’m Upset” music video in 2018 felt like a fitting end to that chapter of her life.

She said revisiting the video was a lovely way to remember the experience. It felt like it gave everyone a sense of completion and helped them move forward.

I was absolutely floored when I saw the documentary trailer! Drake actually revealed that *she* was one of his first kisses – apparently, it happened way back in season one, episode six. I couldn’t believe it!

She said she wasn’t sure she remembered, adding that it was probably because everyone involved was so young at the time. She also found it amusing that the person she was referring to wasn’t someone she had been close to.

Interestingly, Lauren was actually Daniel Clark, the actor who played Sean Cameron on *Degrassi*. They met while filming *I Was a Sixth Grade Alien* between 1999 and 2000.

She shared that she had her first on-screen kiss with Danny, jokingly adding, “I think I was his first, but he definitely wasn’t mine! My apologies to him!”

Lauren, who shares 5-year-old Charlie and 2-year-old Leo with her husband, Jonathan Malen, fondly remembers her time working with her fellow actors and says she’ll always cherish the relationships they built.

She described a strong connection formed by a shared experience, something very few people ever get to know. She feels a lifelong bond with her original castmates and holds them in high regard.

Lauren’s time on *Degrassi* meant more than just friendships; she paved the way for increased LGBTQ+ representation on the show, as her character, Paige, was the first to openly identify as bisexual.

She praised the storyline for its sensitive approach, explaining that it focused on the individual, not on gender or sex. She noted this was particularly remarkable because it happened before discussions about gender and sexual fluidity became widespread.

Lauren stressed the importance of Paige’s relationship with Alex NuƱez (played by Deanna Casaluce) feeling genuine and true to Paige’s character, as their relationship occurred across seasons five through seven.

ā€œIt all worked out in the end,ā€ she said. ā€œAlex and I had a really lovely relationship. It just felt right for both of us, given where we were in our lives at the time.ā€

For a closer look at the lives of more child stars, keep reading.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas became well-known in 1991 for his role as the smart and lovable middle child, Randy Taylor, on the TV show *Home Improvement*. Throughout the 1990s, he also appeared in several films, including voicing young Simba in *The Lion King* (though another actor did the singing) and starring alongside Brad Renfro in *Tom and Huck* (1995) and Devon Sawa in *Wild America* (1997).

In 1998, he left the show *Home Improvement* (his character, Randy, moved to Costa Rica) to concentrate on his education, though he continued to participate in other activities.

In 2004, he played a recurring character on *8 Simple Rules*. Later, in 2013, he worked with Tim Allen again – this time directing and appearing in multiple episodes of *Last Man Standing*, where Allen played his TV father.

Even though Jonathan Taylor Thomas stepped away from acting to focus on his personal life – he graduated from Columbia University in 2010 – he still manages to generate buzz. Whenever a photo of him surfaces, it quickly spreads online.

Macaulay Culkin wasn’t the only child actor to make a big impact early on. At just six years old, Jeremy Lipnicki held his own against Tom Cruise in *Jerry Maguire*, delivering some truly memorable lines. He continued to appear in popular films like *Stuart Little*, *Doctor Dolittle* (where he voiced Baby Tiger), *The Little Vampire*, and *Little Mike*, and even had a guest role on *Dawson’s Creek*. However, he later decided to step away from acting to enjoy a typical high school life.

Even now, he continues to work in the entertainment industry, most recently appearing in the 2023 Lifetime movie, *Secrets at the Museum*. Originally from Los Angeles, he’s also a skilled martial artist with a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In May 2021, he volunteered to help provide extra security at a synagogue in the city due to an increase in anti-Semitic incidents.

In 2017, actor Jake Lipnicki shared on Instagram that he was bullied during middle school, hoping his story would help others going through similar experiences.

He was severely bullied as a child, but years later, some of those same kids tried to connect with him on Facebook, seemingly having forgotten how badly they’d treated him. He remembered being told his career was over and that he’d never work again, which led to nightly panic attacks as he dreaded facing more embarrassment. Despite everything, he persevered and now feels grateful for his life, hoping to inspire others by showing them that things really do improve.

Wilson starred inĀ Mrs. DoubtfireĀ at 6 andĀ Matilda at 9 before putting acting on the back burner.

In 2016, the writer and activist published her memoir, *Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame*. She’s also made appearances on the show *Broad City* and lent her voice to several animated series, including *BoJack Horseman*, *Big Hero 6: The Series*, and *Helluva Boss*.

Wilson remembers a former friend once cheerfully asking her if she felt like she’d already reached the best part of her life. She didn’t know what to say at the time, but now she realizes that was the wrong way to look at it. She hasn’t peaked, because she’s no longer letting others define her story – she’s taking control and writing it herself. This reflection came from a February 2021 opinion piece she wrote for *The New York Times* about the challenges of early fame for young women.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt had already been acting for years when he landed the role of Tommy Solomon on *3rd Rock from the Sun*. The sitcom began airing in 1996, when he was 14 years old. That same year, he also appeared as Demi Moore’s son in the thriller *The Jury*.

He quickly became known for a variety of roles: the charming love interest in the 1999 film *10 Things I Hate About You*, a street-smart character in 2004’s *Mysterious Skin*, and a determined teenage detective searching for his missing ex-girlfriend in the 2005 neo-noir film *Brick*.

Despite looking young even into his twenties, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has built an impressive filmography playing adult roles. Some of his most notable performances include films like *500 Days of Summer*, *G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra*, *Inception*, *50/50*, *The Dark Knight Rises*, *Looper*, *Lincoln*, *Don Jon* (which he also wrote and directed), and *Snowden*. More recently, he’s taken on roles based on real events, portraying a prosecutor in *The Trial of the Chicago 7* and Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick in the series *Super Pumped*.

He quietly married Tasha McCauley in 2014 and they share three children.

Natalie Portman gained recognition early in her career thanks to her remarkably mature performance in the 1994 film *The Professional*, and she’s consistently delivered strong work ever since. Starting with that impressive debut, she’s appeared in a wide range of successful films, including the *Star Wars* prequels, the *Thor* and *Avengers* movies, acclaimed independent films like *Beautiful Girls* and *Garden State*, comedies such as *Mars Attacks!* and *Your Highness*, serious dramas like *Closer* and *Brothers*, and thrilling, thought-provoking movies like *V for Vendetta* and *Annihilation*.

Oh my gosh, Natalie Portman is just incredible! I was absolutely floored by her performance in *Black Swan* – that Oscar was SO deserved! And then she just completely transformed into Jackie Kennedy in *Jackie* – another nomination, obviously! It’s not just acting though, did you know she *directed* a movie?! *A Tale of Love and Darkness* is beautiful, and it’s based on this amazing book by Amos Oz. She’s seriously a genius at everything she does!

I was so thrilled when Natalie married Benjamin Millepied, the incredibly talented choreographer she worked with on *Black Swan* back in 2012! They seemed like the perfect couple and welcomed two beautiful children, Aleph and Amalia, into the world. It was heartbreaking to hear they finalized their divorce in 2024, but I wish them both all the best.

Oh my gosh, I was *obsessed* with ‘Two and a Half Men,’ and Angus T. Jones was just… adorable as Jake! He played Jon Cryer’s poor, divorced son, and he was Charlie Sheen’s songwriting nephew, which was such a funny connection. But then, can you believe it, a video came out a few years ago where he totally ripped the show apart? He called it ‘filth’! It was so shocking. Apparently, it was part of a longer religious talk he did for this Seventh-day Adventist group out of Alabama. I couldn’t believe he said those things about the show I loved! It was just… weird.

Jones later apologized for not showing proper respect to his coworkers and for not recognizing how fortunate he was to have the opportunity he’d been given.

The actor soon left the series, but returned for the finale in 2015.

During his last season on the CBS sitcom, actor Jones reportedly earned $350,000 per episode. He recently told KHOU in Houston that he felt the show downplayed serious real-world issues, and he admitted to feeling like a ‘paid hypocrite’ for participating in it despite his discomfort.

Before a small, unconfirmed role in the 2023 Max series *Bookie*, his most recent acting job was in *Horace & Pete*, a limited series created by Louis C.K. in 2016.

Jones described his time at the University of Colorado at Boulder as a normal period in his life, as he shared with *People* magazine in 2016. He explained that he used to be very pessimistic, but now he’s enjoying life and feeling much more relaxed. He said he no longer feels like he’s constantly walking on eggshells.

Daniel Radcliffe has successfully moved beyond his role as Harry Potter by taking on a wide variety of challenging parts. He’s proven his range on stage in plays like *Equus* and *The Cripple of Inishmaan*, in the musical *How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying*, and in films like *Kill Your Darlings*, where he played Allen Ginsberg, and the quirky *Swiss Army Man*. He’s also shown his dramatic side on television with his performance as a doctor struggling with opioid addiction in *A Young Doctor’s Notebook*.

Recently, he finished four seasons on *Miracle Workers*, starred as Weird Al Yankovic in *Weird: The Al Yankovic Story*, and returned to the stage in a Broadway revival of *Merrily We Roll Along*.

On a personal note, Radcliffe is dad to a son with longtime partner Erin Darke.

Jodie Foster began her acting career around the age of six with a role in the television series *Mayberry R.F.D.*, a spin-off of *The Andy Griffith Show*. At just fourteen, she received her first Academy Award nomination for her performance in *Taxi Driver*, where she played a vulnerable young girl whose situation motivates Robert De Niro’s character to take drastic action. That same year, 1976, she also starred in the original *Freaky Friday*, a much lighter role that helped establish her as a popular child star.

Jodie Foster balanced her studies at Yale with her acting career. She achieved early recognition, winning her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1988’s *The Accused*, where she powerfully portrayed a woman who bravely pursued legal action after a brutal assault, only to find herself unexpectedly on trial herself. In 1991, she directed her first feature film, *Little Man Tate*, and the following year, in 1992, she won the Best Actress Oscar for her compelling performance as a determined FBI trainee in *The Silence of the Lambs*.

The acclaimed actress and director received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the 2013 Golden Globes. More recently, she’s focused on directing for television, having directed episodes of popular shows like *House of Cards*, *Black Mirror*, and *Orange Is the New Black*. In the 2000s and 2010s, she appeared in films such as *Panic Room*, *Inside Man*, *Elysium*, *Hotel Artemis*, and *The Mauritanian*, for which she unexpectedly won a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actress in 2021.

She has two sons with her former partner, Cydney Bernard, and she married photographer and director Alexandra Hedison in 2014.

It’s not surprising that Jodie Foster took Kristen Stewart under her wing while filming the 2002 thriller Panic Room, directed by David Fincher, as they played mother and daughter. Similar to Foster, Stewart has had a complicated relationship with fame, but it’s been amplified by the internet since she landed the role of Bella Swan in the Twilight series around age 16 – a role that truly changed her life.

In a 2019 interview with Stellar magazine, Kristen Stewart recalled that Jodie Foster didn’t believe she’d stick with acting. Stewart clarified this wasn’t a judgment of her skills, but rather a reflection of Foster’s own reserved personality. “I enjoy my work,” Stewart said, “but looking back, I can see why she’d think that about me when I was younger. I have a lot of affection for her.”

Okay, so Kristen Stewart has been *amazing* since Twilight ended, honestly. She didn’t need the fame, she just kept making incredible choices! She did try to bring Charlie’s Angels back in 2019, which was fun, but she really shines in these smaller, more artistic films. Like, she won a Cesar Award – that’s basically the French Oscar! – for *The Clouds of Sils Maria*, making her the first American actress to ever do that! And *Personal Shopper*? So hauntingly good. Then there’s *Seberg* and *Spencer*… they aren’t *exactly* biographies, but she completely *becomes* these women. It’s just… breathtaking. I’m obsessed, obviously.

Following her public relationship with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart began dating women and later married Dylan Meyer in 2025.

Oh my gosh, can you believe it? Before Thanos… *before* he wiped out half the universe, Josh Brolin – James Brolin’s son! – was this totally adorable, slightly annoyed, but secretly sweet big brother, Brandon Walsh, in *The Goonies*! Seriously, *The Goonies*! It was 1985, and he was already stealing hearts. I’ve been obsessed ever since, and it all started with that perfect big brother vibe.

Brolin continued to act in many films, including *Flirting With Disaster*, *Mimic*, and *No Country for Old Men*, which won an Academy Award for Best Picture and helped revitalize his career. He also appeared in *American Gangster*, *W.* (where he played George W. Bush), and *Milk*, earning an Oscar nomination for his role as Dan White, the man who killed Harvey Milk. Other notable films include *Jonah Hex*, *True Grit*, *Sicario*, *Deadpool 2*, and the blockbuster *Avengers: Infinity War* and *Endgame*, where he played Thanos using CGI. More recently, he starred in the science fiction film *Dune*, and is set to appear in its sequels.

Josh Brolin has two children with his first wife, Alice Adair. He was then married to Diane Lane from 2004 to 2013. He married Kathryn Boyd in 2016, and they have two daughters together: Westlyn Reign Brolin, born in 2018, and Chapel Grace Brolin, born in December 2020.

She started her acting career at around age ten, appearing in films with Cher and Winona Ryder. She first appeared in the 1990 movie *Mermaids*, and the following year, she became known for her role as the delightfully gloomy Wednesday Addams in *The Addams Family*.

Christina Ricci continued to build her career with beloved films like *Casper* and *Now and Then* in the 1990s. She then became known for playing complex characters in movies such as *The Opposite of Sex*, *Buffalo ’66*, *Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas*, *Sleepy Hollow*, *Prozac Nation*, *Pumpkin*, and *Monster*. In *Monster*, she portrayed the girlfriend of serial killer Aileen Wuornos, a role famously played by Charlize Theron, who won an Oscar for her performance.

Over the last three decades, Christina Ricci has consistently chosen bold and unusual roles. From portraying a stylish flight attendant in the TV series *Pan Am* to being dramatically chained in *Black Snake Moan*, she’s never shied away from challenging parts. Ricci also excels at bringing real-life figures to the screen, like the infamous ax murderer Lizzie Borden in *The Lizzie Borden Chronicles* and the captivating Zelda Fitzgerald in *Z: The Beginning of Everything*.

Ricci has two children: a son named Freddie with her former husband, James Heerdegen, and a daughter named Cleopatra with her current husband, Mark Hampton.

In October 2021, actress Melanie Lynskey married her husband, Mark Hampton, a hairdresser. They then welcomed their daughter, Cleopatra, in December of the same year.

Macaulay Culkin became a famous face almost overnight with his iconic scream in *Home Alone* when he was just ten years old. However, he’d actually been working in television movies and films like *Uncle Buck* and *Jacob’s Ladder* since he was around five. After taking a break from acting following 1994’s *Richie Rich*, he’s returned to it occasionally, often choosing smaller films that have had a significant impact on popular culture, such as *Party Monster* and *Saved*. He’s also pursued his passions as a musician and painter.

Macaulay Culkin, known for his voice work on Robot Chicken and a cameo as a barista on The Jim Gaffigan Show, is set to appear in the tenth season of American Horror Story, which is scheduled to premiere in 2021, assuming pandemic safety measures are in place.

The actor is engaged to Brenda Song and they have two sons. Their first son, Dakota Song Culkin, is named after the actor’s sister, Dakota, who sadly passed away in 2008. Their second son, Carson, made his first public appearance at his father’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on December 1, 2023, when he was one year old.

Dakota Fanning’s career has seemed to jump quickly from playing young versions of characters in shows like *Ally McBeal* and the movie *I Am Sam* to a starring role as a pioneering female detective in the historical drama *The Alienist*. However, that wasn’t quite how things happened.

For over two decades, she’s consistently delivered strong performances in a variety of films, including *Uptown Girls*, *Man on Fire*, *Hide and Seek*, *War of the Worlds*, *Charlotte’s Web*, *The Secret Life of Bees*, three *Twilight* movies, *American Pastoral*, and *Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood*. Notably, she portrayed Lynette ā€œSqueakyā€ Fromme, a follower of Charles Manson, in *Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood*.

Dakota Fanning acted alongside her younger sister, Elle Fanning, in the film *The Nightingale*. She also received a Golden Globe nomination in 2025 for playing Marge Sherwood in the Netflix series *Ripley*.

Though she began her career playing a young version of her sister Dakota’s character in the film *I Am Sam*, Elle Fanning has since established herself as a unique and successful actress with her own distinct style.

I’ve been following Elle Fanning’s career for years, and it’s amazing to see how far she’s come! She started out like a lot of young actors, playing children of the main characters in films like *Daddy Day Care*, *The Door in the Floor*, *Babel*, and *Reservation Road*. She also popped up on just about every crime procedural you can think of – all the *CSI* shows, *Criminal Minds*, *House*, *Law & Order: SVU*, and probably things she wasn’t even old enough to watch herself! But as she grew up, her roles became so much more diverse. She’s done everything – sweet family movies like *We Bought a Zoo* and *Maleficent*, young adult stories like *Super 8* and *Twixt*, serious dramas like *Trumbo* and *20th Century Women*, and even really dark, visually stunning films like *The Neon Demon* and *The Beguiled*. It’s really impressive to see her range.

She’s also taken on notable roles as Mary Shelley in a movie about the author, and as Catherine the Great in the Hulu comedy series, *The Great*.

Since becoming famous on the Disney Channel’s *Lizzie McGuire*, the actress and singer has matured and continued to star in popular, family-friendly movies and shows like *Agent Cody Banks*, *Cheaper by the Dozen*, and *A Cinderella Story*.

After a period with fewer prominent roles, Hilary Duff has been shining in *Younger*, playing a complex coworker to Sutton Foster’s character – a woman pretending to be a millennial – in the popular TV Land series, which will be back for a seventh season. While a spin-off focusing on Duff’s *Younger* character, Kelsey, sounded promising, many longtime fans were especially eager to see her reprise her role as Lizzie in a planned Disney+ reboot. Sadly, those plans for a revival of the show have been cancelled.

She has since starred in two seasons of Ā How I Met Your Father.

Hilary Duff first married hockey player Mike Comrie, and they had a son named Luca before divorcing in 2014 after four years together. She then married musician Matthew Koma in 2019, and they have three daughters: Banks Violet, Mae James, and Townes Meadow, who was born in May 2024.

Candace Cameron Bure, younger sister of Kirk Cameron, became a style icon for many 12-year-olds thanks to her role as D.J. Tanner, the responsible oldest daughter on the popular sitcom *Full House*, which aired from 1987 to 1995.

She’s appeared in many TV movies, including some that tackled important issues. A particularly memorable one is the 1996 film *No One Would Tell*, which was based on the heartbreaking true story of a high school student who was tragically murdered by her abusive boyfriend after enduring months of silent suffering. It’s a story that continues to resonate and disturb us even now.

Lately, Candace Cameron Bure has become a Hallmark Channel favorite. After co-hosting The View for two seasons and reprising her role with the Tanner family in five seasons of Netflix’s Fuller House, she now stars in Hallmark’s popular Christmas movies and the Aurora Teagarden murder mystery series, which is based on the novels by Charlaine Harris.

In 2021, she and her husband, former NHL player Valeri Bure, marked their 25th wedding anniversary. They have three children together.

Jodie Sweetin, best known for playing Stephanie Tanner on *Full House* for eight seasons, faced challenges with substance abuse. She openly shared her experiences in her 2009 memoir, *unSweetined*.

Between 2002 and 2016, three marriages kept her in the public eye. A short engagement to Justin Hodak also generated headlines, but it ended badly. Hodak violated a restraining order she had against him and was later sentenced to over six years in prison in 2019 for possessing a weapon and providing false evidence.

Having been sober since 2008, the mother of Zoie and Beatrix returned to the world of the Tanner family for five seasons of the Netflix series *Fuller House*. She’s also appeared in multiple Hallmark Channel movies, such as the 2019 Christmas film *Merry and Bright* and the romantic comedy *Just Swipe*.

The character of Michelle Tanner on the popular TV show *Full House* was actually played by twin sisters, who started on the show as babies and grew into a recognizable 6-year-old. Their success on the show led to a whole business empire, including movies, clothing, books, and more.

After 2004’s *New York Minute*, Mary-Kate continued acting with roles in shows like *Weeds* and films like *The Wackness* and *Beastly*. Ashley, however, stepped away from acting. Today, both sisters are highly successful in the fashion world as the co-founders of the award-winning brands The Row and Elizabeth & James.

Ashley and her husband, Louis Eisner, had their first child in 2023. Mary-Kate married Olivier Sarkozy in 2015, but they divorced in 2020.

Before becoming a famous actor, environmental activist, and Oscar winner for *The Revenant*, Leonardo DiCaprio had a very different start. In 1991, he played a homeless teenager named Luke who was taken in by the Seaver family on the TV show *Growing Pains*. Even then, DiCaprio had a remarkably youthful appearance, and he was already 16 with years of acting experience. He quickly gained recognition, earning his first Oscar nomination for *What’s Eating Gilbert Grape*, and became known for playing complex and troubled young characters in films like *A Boy’s Life*, *The Basketball Diaries*, *Marvin’s Room*, and *Romeo + Juliet*.

He still kinda looked like a kid inĀ Titanic, but at 22 he had reached full-on heartthrob status.

In the last ten years, Leonardo DiCaprio has appeared in a string of successful films, including *Inception*, *The Wolf of Wall Street*, *Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood*, *The Revenant* (for which he finally won an Academy Award for Best Actor), and *Killers of the Flower Moon*.

Accio, adulthood!

Emma Watson first gained recognition for her role as Hermione Granger in the eight *Harry Potter* films. Since then, she’s expanded her career to include young adult movies like *The Perks of Being a Wallflower* and *The Bling Ring*, and starred alongside Tom Hanks in *The Circle*. She also played leading roles in the live-action *Beauty and the Beast* and *Little Women*. Beyond acting, Watson uses her influence as a UN Goodwill Ambassador to support women and promote gender equality globally.

She’s also worked as a model for brands like Prada and Burberry, started a gin company with her brother, Alex Watson, and pursued creative writing studies at Oxford University.

Neil Patrick Harris, originally from New Mexico, achieved early success, receiving a Golden Globe nomination at just 15 years old for his first role in the 1988 TV movie *Clara’s Heart*. He played a withdrawn young boy who forms a connection with his family’s housekeeper. However, his career could have taken a different turn after starring as a teenage genius doctor in the dramedy *Doogie Howser, M.D.*-a role he playfully parodied when he humorously impersonated himself in *Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle*.

After a period of career difficulty following his early years in Hollywood, he stayed active in theater, appearing in three Broadway productions. Eventually, he found the perfect television role as the charming Barney Stinson in *How I Met Your Mother*, which led to four Emmy nominations. In 2010, he actually won two Emmys – one for co-producing the 2009 Tony Awards and another for a guest appearance on *Glee*, and he was nominated for three Emmys total that year.

This incredibly talented performer – a master of acting, singing, dancing, and magic – has hosted the Tony Awards four times, winning an Emmy each time for his work as a producer. He’s also hosted the Emmys twice and the Oscars once, in 2015. In 2014, he earned a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his leading role in *Hedwig and the Angry Inch*.

Neil Patrick Harris and his husband, David Burtka, had twins, Gideon and Harper, through surrogacy in 2010. They got married in 2014.

She first gained fame as the adorable Olivia on *The Cosby Show* when she was just four years old. She then appeared in several films, including *The Little Rascals* and the *Doctor Dolittle* movies. In 2003, she starred in her own popular Disney Channel show, *That’s So Raven*, where she played a fashionable teen with psychic abilities. While starring on *That’s So Raven*, she also made guest appearances in other Disney Channel shows like *The Cheetah Girls*, *The Suite Life of Zack & Cody*, *Kim Possible*, and *Sonny With a Chance*.

After her show concluded in 2007, Raven-SymonƩ continued to appear on television, with roles in shows like *American Dad*, *Nashville*, *State of Georgia*, *The Jim Gaffigan Show*, *Master of None*, and *Drunk History*. She also had a recurring part on *Black-ish* and co-hosted *The View* for three seasons. In June 2020, she married Miranda Maday.
