Mandy Moore, who stars in “This Is Us”, revealed that both her sons, Gus (age 4) and Ozzie (age 2), were afflicted by Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) simultaneously, causing her to feel a great deal of worry.

In a recent interview with People on September 10th, Mandy, aged 41, expressed a feeling of utter powerlessness. To put it another way, although we managed to avoid a hospital stay, the incident left both me and my husband quite shaken and extremely anxious.

In the midst of Gus and Ozzie’s fight against the respiratory virus, I, Mandy, was in a unique battle of my own – ensuring the safety of my soon-to-be 12-month old daughter, Lou, once she entered the world. As her due date approached, I consulted with my doctor for advice, who wisely recommended an early vaccination to safeguard our little one.

On October 1st, Lou managed to secure the initial appointment, a fact she later remembered with gratitude. She received the immunization, which greatly eased my concerns and provided a sense of relief, knowing she would be safeguarded during her first RSV season.

She added, “In other words, being a parent again has been an excellent opportunity for me to learn from past errors. This time around, I found myself better equipped for the experience.

During the time when Mandy’s family was dealing with RSV illnesses and unfortunately lost their homes due to wildfires in Los Angeles in January, they took a necessary break away from home.

Determined to find a solution, I leveraged my background in holistic medicine and herbalism. I sought help from both traditional medical professionals and independent healers, all in the pursuit of finding comfort within myself. This journey was long and grueling, lasting over a decade.

Along the way, my physical discomfort led to mental struggles as well. I developed fears about food due to my stomach pain, which ultimately resulted in body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and feelings of insecurity in my own skin.

However, after dedicating myself to both my physical and mental well-being, I am now in a much better place. I’m proud to say that I’ve overcome these challenges and am healthy once again.
