Jessi Draper Ngatikaura isn’t keeping any secrets when it comes to her plastic surgeries.
As a big fan of the show, I was really touched by what Ashley Yearling shared on Instagram recently. She openly talked about her recovery after getting some cosmetic procedures – she had work done on her eyelids, both upper and lower, and also had facial fat grafting. It was so brave of her to share the whole process with us!
Jessi, age 33, knew to expect some swelling after her surgeries, but she was surprised by how much—and upset by the negative reactions to her choices.
She explained in a video, while getting ready for a doctor’s appointment, that this swollen appearance isn’t her goal. She’s getting steroid injections to reduce the swelling and inflammation in her face. She acknowledged some comments saying she’s ‘ruined her face’ or looks ‘scary,’ but clarified that she’s still in the healing process and is currently swollen.
The reality TV personality, who has two children – 5-year-old Jagger and 3-year-old Jovi – with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, explained that she didn’t intentionally try to look the way she does. She said it’s an unexpected part of her journey to recovery and well-being.
Jessi mentioned bruising easily and experiencing significant swelling during healing. She later shared that she deeply misses her previous appearance, saying she’s unhappy with how she looks and didn’t intend to end up this way, describing the situation as mentally challenging.

On January 14th, Jessi revealed on TikTok that she was planning to get plastic surgery. She explained that after losing around 20 pounds—much of it from her face—she’d noticed loose skin under her eyes and her face appearing sunken.
The influencer revealed she had surgery on both her upper and lower eyelids to remove excess skin. She also had a fat-grafting procedure to boost collagen production and restore lost volume in her face.
Jessi described the procedure as a good alternative to facial fillers, explaining that doctors transferred fat from her thighs to her face. However, it caused significant bruising and swelling, which led to some negative comments about how she looked.
In a video posted on January 20th, she acknowledged receiving harsh comments online, stating she understood sharing her life would likely attract criticism.
As a huge fan of Jessi, I was really saddened to hear her ask us to be a little kinder in our messages. She explained that, because she works full-time creating content, she just can’t take two months off – and she’s right! It’s a tough job, and she deserves our support, not negativity.
She explained that she’s been receiving a lot of harassment and bullying because of a personal choice she made. She emphasized that her decision hasn’t harmed anyone and doesn’t impact others, but she’s constantly forced to remove negative comments.

She added, “It’s OK to do things that help you feel good about your insecurities.”
Jessi is focusing on her well-being and actively working to reduce swelling. In addition to steroid injections, she’s been icing her face daily, getting lymphatic facials, and eating a keto and anti-inflammatory diet.
Jessi made it clear she doesn’t plan any more surgeries for now, joking in a TikTok video from January 14th that her next procedure won’t be until she needs a facelift in her fifties.
Jessi isn’t alone – many celebrities have been open about having plastic surgery. Here’s a look at other stars who’ve shared their experiences.

Following her divorce from Brennon Lemieux, the former star of Love Is Blind season three revealed she had breast augmentation surgery.
In a TikTok video posted in January 2026, she said she was feeling almost back to normal five days after her surgery. She had a breast lift and implant, and was surprised by how easy the recovery was. She explained she’d wanted the surgery for a long time, especially after she finished breastfeeding, as her breasts hadn’t regained their previous shape.

In an interview with Allure in August 2025, she shared a longing for the innocence of her younger self. She explained that she sometimes wishes she could return to a time before she felt pressured to focus on attracting men, believing that was necessary for her well-being.
She acknowledged she might eventually get back to being more productive, but it wasn’t a priority for her at the moment.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen a lot of trends come and go, and sometimes people change their minds about things they once loved! Recently, I watched a former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta actually reverse an under-eye filler she’d gotten right after turning 18. She documented the process on Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, and it was fascinating to see her journey to a more natural look.
During the July 2025 episode, the reality star shared that her skin felt firmer and she felt more youthful, beautiful, and confident than she ever had before.

Like, she finally feels like herself again. She said she’d lost touch with who she was, trying to live up to what other people wanted, and this brought her back. It’s just… so inspiring to see her take control and finally be happy with her body, not someone else’s idea of perfect!

A month later, she spoke candidly about wrestling with her body image.
She expressed her hope on Instagram that her children would never feel so insecure about their bodies that they would resort to extreme measures to become thin. While she believes minor cosmetic procedures like rhinoplasty or breast augmentation are acceptable, she feels that undergoing significant surgery solely to achieve thinness indicates a serious mental health issue. She added that she says this with full respect for anyone who is dealing with such struggles.

She shared with TopMob News that she wanted people to understand the reality of the recovery process, showing the bruising and swelling that comes with it. She described looking as though she’d been seriously injured in a car accident immediately after the procedure, but emphasized how quickly things improved – she was able to be seen in public after just five days, and felt completely normal in a restaurant within ten.
The reality TV star explained her openness about getting a face lift by saying it would be strange to return to the show looking noticeably younger without explaining why. She admitted she does look about ten years younger as a result.

Part of the price of beauty for the “Who Says” singer: The occasional dabble with Botox.

She also had an ‘Ellevate’ neck lift in 2019 performed by @theneckdoctor, and a small amount of lip filler because of her face shape, as well as filler in her chin. The talk show host recently revealed she used Ozempic to help with weight loss and also confessed that her 2021 facelift was a mistake. She described the results, in December 2023, as making her look like the character Cyclops.

Okay, so this is kinda embarrassing to admit, but back in 2013 I told Howard Stern about this weird phase I went through. I hadn’t had any real surgery, but I was seriously obsessed with getting fillers. I was going through a lot, and honestly, I was smoking weed and drinking, and I’d just get this urge. I’d drive to this random strip mall in Chicago – it was so shady! Everyone thought I was crazy, and they weren’t wrong, probably. I’d just be like, ‘Let’s go!’ and I’d get all kinds of stuff injected into my face – Juvéderm, mostly – and then just leave. It wasn’t my best moment, let’s just say that.
She explained that she’d stopped getting injections. Before filming the music video for ‘Applause,’ a friend who was a photographer had warned her, ‘Gaga, I care about you, but if you don’t stop with the injections, I’m worried it will ruin you.’

Once I finished, things started to go my way,” she explained. “But I couldn’t help but wonder if I’d given in to what he wanted.
I own all of my past choices and accept where they’ve led me. I’m not dwelling on the past, and I’m focused on the present.

Oh my gosh, you guys, she actually told People magazine back in 2007 that getting her deviated septum fixed was the best decision she ever made! Can you believe it? She said she finally slept like a baby after YEARS of not being able to! And then, get this, when they asked about all the gossip, she just said, and I quote, ‘it’s still mine. All of it. Still mine.’ Like she’s owning everything, and honestly? I LIVE for it. It’s just… perfect.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about embracing how you feel, and sometimes that involves a little help! Back in 2010, I shared that I’d had a few cosmetic procedures – a nose job, a breast lift, and liposuction – to help me feel my best.
“I’m very comfortable and confident in myself,” she told People. “I just wanted a tune up.”
