Paul told *Rolling Stone* in a September 15th interview that their connection means a great deal to him and he feels a strong need to safeguard it.

The 29-year-old recently spoke about his relationship with Gracie, just months after she attended the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to support him at the premiere of his film, *History of Sound*. Gracie is the daughter of filmmakers J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath.

Gracie and Paul walked the red carpet separately, even though Gracie was there to support him. The singer, known for the song “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” has repeatedly stated she doesn’t want to discuss her private relationship with the *Gladiator II* actor and doesn’t appreciate the public’s interest in it.

“That has nothing to do with me,” she told Nylon in December. “It doesn’t affect me.”
