Why Pete Davidson’s Pregnant GF Elsie Hewitt Thought She Was Infertile

Elsie Hewitt’s road to motherhood has had its hurdles.

Oh my gosh, you won’t *believe* this! My absolute favorite actress – the one who’s expecting her first baby with Pete Davidson, can you even?! – shared the most personal thing. She said she found out she had endometriosis back in November 2024, and honestly, she didn’t even know if she’d *ever* be able to have a baby! I’m just so happy for her, it’s amazing!

“I wasn’t aware of how endometriosis might have been impacting my ability to get pregnant before the operation,” she shared with People magazine in an interview released on October 2nd. “I genuinely believed I couldn’t have children.”

According to the World Health Organization, this condition involves the growth of tissue resembling the uterine lining outside of the uterus, frequently leading to pelvic pain and challenges with fertility. Thankfully, Elsie, 29, was able to have laparoscopic surgery to address her health issue.

“The main reason I decided to have the surgery was my symptoms,” she said, “but another important factor was wanting to protect my ability to have children, or at least improve my chances of starting a family in the future.”

With Elsie expecting a baby, she and Pete, who is 31, are excited to build a loving and supportive home for their little one.

We’re both very aware of not wanting to put any expectations on this,” she said. “It’s not like, ‘This child needs to complete me or give me something I always wanted.’ But I really believe there’s something healing in knowing we can give a child the life, support, love, and family environment that we didn’t experience ourselves.”

Let me tell you, as someone who’s seen a lot of families, I was so touched by what Elsie shared about her partner. She truly feels she couldn’t ask for a better father for their baby than her Saturday Night Live alum partner, and she said, simply, “I’m so happy it’s him.” It’s just lovely to hear how much joy they share!

Pete has expressed his happiness about becoming a father, but he’s also mentioned being concerned that his celebrity status might make things difficult. He’s described his partner, Elsie, as someone who values privacy.

He expressed sympathy for his partner, explaining, “I feel bad for my girl because I bring a lot of st,” during an interview on The Breakfast Club in August. He continued, “She’s never made me feel this way or said anything, but I feel so guilty and horrible that I couldn’t give her the pregnancy experience that most women get to have and enjoy.”

I was so thrilled to hear that Pete is really excited about growing his family! He shared with TopMob News back in July, saying, “I’m very lucky and very, very happy.” It just makes me so happy for him, truly!

I’m seriously the happiest fan ever!

“I’m experiencing significant and worsening pain,” she shared in a TikTok video posted in December 2024 following a surgical procedure. “This pain has caused me to miss out on many work opportunities. It’s also risky for me to be on set because I might suddenly need emergency medical attention. I’m actively searching for solutions to manage this.”

While relaxing in a boat on the lake, the Bupkis actor spontaneously kissed Elsie on the cheek.

While Elsie was getting her makeup applied for a Pat McGrath Labs red carpet event in May, Pete showed how supportive he was by coming over and giving her a tender kiss despite the busy atmosphere.

The couple was feeling the good vibes as they posed for a quick snap.

In April 2025, Elsie and Pete enjoyed experiencing New York City while walking through midtown Manhattan. They took in the sights and sounds of the city during their stroll.

For their Memorial Day celebration, Elsie and Pete sampled different kinds of chips, such as Pringles and Cape Cod Chips.

The couple attempted their smallest, most fleeting smile for a June TikTok video, but quickly dissolved into laughter.

Elsie gently caressed Pete’s hair while they relaxed in the sunshine, and the comedian was holding onto the waist of Elsie’s sweatpants.
