Why Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Is Focused on Aging Gracefully

Kody Brown is looking to keep himself young.

Kody Brown, the father from Sister Wives, revealed that he exercises regularly to keep up with his wife, Robyn Brown, who is nine years his junior.

Kody explained on the December 14th episode of the TLC series that he works hard to stay in shape. He said he doesn’t want to be seen as the oldest member of his family.

He explained that he’s prioritizing healthy aging and is focusing on strength training to maintain his overall well-being.

During the episode, Kody playfully demonstrated his fitness to Robyn, saying he wanted to see how many pull-ups he could do with her watching.

I’ve been following Kody for a while now, and honestly, his commitment to staying in shape is really noticeable. Even his former wives, Christine and Meri, have both commented on it – you can tell he’s been working at it!

Christine reflected on the show that Kody was always extremely focused on fitness. She said it felt like a constant obsession to her.

Meri noted that her husband doesn’t seem to work out as often as he used to when they were first married, but now he’s in good shape and really puts in the effort.

Robyn was just thankful that her husband, after 11 years of marriage, was prioritizing his own health.

Seeing Kody take care of his health is a nice bonus, but ultimately, what matters most is his character as a person, she explained.

Okay, so everyone’s talking about the workouts, but honestly? What REALLY gets me about Kody – and yes, it’s been tough with Janelle leaving him, I feel for her, but STILL – is when he’s a good dad. It just…melts me! Seriously, seeing him with the kids is everything. It’s what I’ve always loved about him, and it just makes my heart soar!

Kody admits he could have been a better father to his 18 children.

While appearing on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test in November, he confessed he wished he’d been closer to his children. ‘I’m at a point where I can admit when I’ve made mistakes,’ he said.

Looking back, I realize my biggest mistakes came from thinking I had all the answers when it came to being a husband and a father. I genuinely believed I knew what I was doing, but I was so wrong. I completely misread the situation and, honestly, I messed things up in a lot of ways. It’s humbling to admit, but recognizing that was the first step to learning and growing.

The reality star didn’t like taking the blame for what he saw as a setback, and initially struggled to accept responsibility for it.

He admitted that mending relationships with his family and former wives would be a difficult process, but it was something he wanted to do.

You can watch Sister Wives on TLC every Sunday at 10 p.m. If you’d like to learn more about Kody and his family, continue reading.

Oh my gosh, Dayton is just… amazing! He’s Robyn’s oldest, but he came to the family with a little bit of a story. He’s actually from Robyn’s previous marriage to Preston Jessop, can you believe it? But Kody officially adopted him back in 2015, five years after they had their spiritual marriage. It just makes my heart melt knowing Kody welcomed him as his own! He’s such an important part of the family, and I’m so glad he’s with them.
