Why Wednesday’s Xavier Is Not Included in Season 2

Nevermore Academy’s student body is a little different this semester.

As a devoted admirer, let me express that it’s been over two years since Percy Hynes White faced allegations of sexual misconduct. Subsequently, in the second season of the Netflix series, my cherished character Xavier Thorpe was omitted from the plot.

In the Jenna Ortega-starring series, it was disclosed by the new principal, Steve Buscemi’s character Barry Dort, on the premiere episode released on August 6, that he was going to study at Reichenbach Academy in Switzerland.

Well, let me tell you, I simply can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming season! You see, last time around, poor Xavier, or rather his dad Vincent Thorpe, wasn’t exactly thrilled when everyone thought Xavier was the murderous Hyde, who unexpectedly became Wednesday’s romantic interest, Tyler Galpin, played by Hunter Doohan. Now, with a new school comes a larger spotlight for Wednesday’s mom, Morticia Addams, portrayed brilliantly by Catherine Zeta-Jones, as she takes on the role of the chairperson for Nevermore’s gala fundraising committee. I can hardly wait to see what this new chapter brings!

Vincent Thorpe served as the chairman for the past three years, according to Principal Dort who replaced Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) following her demise last season. However, after Xavier was wrongfully accused of murder, he withdrew both his son and their investments from Nevermore.

Despite not showing up in the latest season, Xavier managed to bid farewell to Wednesday by writing a heartfelt letter and including an eerie sketch of a solitary-eyed raven, often spotted hovering over Jericho.

In the shared dorm room on Wednesday, Enid (Emma Myers) read aloud from a letter, “I reached out via text, but I fear you misplaced the phone I handed over.” She continued, “This letter serves as my farewell present. A vision popped up in my mind, and it’s somehow linked to you. I can’t explain how or why, but I sense it’s tied to you. Isn’t Wednesday Addams always chasing a puzzle to solve?

The actor is no longer present following the surfacing of sexual harassment accusations in January 2023, which originated from now-deleted posts on platform X. Despite his denial, these allegations have left a lasting impression and repercussions for him.

In an Instagram post in June 2023, White stated that someone unknown to him had initiated a false information campaign against him online. Consequently, his family’s personal information was exposed (doxxed), and his friends received threats of violence.

The rumors aren’t true,” the 23-year-old emphasized. “I strongly reject being labeled as intolerant or careless about public safety. Such unfounded and damaging allegations can sow doubt among those who have been wronged.

In May, he expressed joy and eagerness about the upcoming second season of the show, which he was previously given a chance to advance with, as stated by Deadline. On his Instagram Stories, he wrote, “I had such a blast working on this show! Can’t wait to see season 2 :).” He ended with a heartfelt message, “Much love.

As your trusted guide in the realm of lifestyle trends, I have attempted to reach out to White’s representatives for their insights, but at the moment, they have not provided any comments. Regarding Netflix, they too chose to remain silent on this matter. Stay tuned for further updates!
