Wicked star joining The Boys universe could crossover between two different shows

In a few short weeks, you can look forward to streaming the second season of Gen V on Amazon Prime Video. This new installment continues the storyline within the world of The Boys, with the fifth season and final episode of The Boys yet to come after it.

Additionally, a fresh installment in the franchise is scheduled to arrive, titled “Vought Rising” – a prequel series where Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will once again embody their characters, Soldier Boy and Stormfront.

Eric Kripke, the mastermind behind The Boys and the executive producer for the spin-offs, has hinted at the possibility of a significant cross-over event between Gen V and Vought Rising, potentially featuring a new character portrayed by Ethan Slater, who is famously known for his role in Wicked.

As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that starting from Season 2 of Gen V, I’ll be stepping into the shoes of Thomas Godolkin, the visionary behind Godolkin University. However, my character will only grace our screens through flashbacks, offering a glimpse into the university’s fascinating past. These scenes will shed light on an intriguing secret: the school was initially established to spearhead Project Odessa, a mystery yet to be unveiled!

In the 1960s, as flashbacks occur, creator Eric Kripke hinted during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Slater might make a return in a future season of Vought Rising. Notably, this series’ first installment is set in the 1950s.

He suggested: “If Vought Rising proves successful and we continue with more seasons, I believe it would be foolish not to incorporate Ethan Slater’s character into the series. He seems perfectly suited to play a younger version of Thomas Godolkin, a role we’ve already considered.

In my perspective, here’s how I might rephrase it: “I’m back at Godolkin University as classes resume. Meanwhile, across America, Homelander tightens his grip. But here, a peculiar new Dean is advocating for a curriculum that claims to empower us beyond measure.

Cate and Sam are widely acclaimed as heroes, whereas Marie, Jordan, and Emma feel hesitant about going back to college, weighed down by months of pain and sorrow. However, the impending conflict between Humans and Supers – a struggle that extends beyond the university’s boundaries – makes it challenging for them to focus on parties and lectures.

The group discovers a clandestine project at Godolkin University, dating back to its establishment, which could hold more significance than they currently understand. Somehow, Marie seems to be involved in this hidden aspect.
