You can now experience a sneak peek of the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the hunting game, Wild Hearts, titled Wild Hearts S, by downloading its demo on the eShop. This demo offers you access to the initial segments of Wild Hearts S and gives you an opportunity to test out multiplayer hunts with up to three other players in both online and local multiplayer modes.
As a fellow gamer, I’d like to point out an essential detail: To enjoy the local multiplayer mode, each one of us needs our personal Switch 2 console. That’s because this awesome system can connect with other nearby Switch 2 consoles, forming a local network for some top-notch multiplayer gaming fun!
During the demonstration, participants can journey through the opening chapters of “WILD HEARTS S,” right up to the location named Minato. Throughout this adventure, they’ll encounter a variety of monsters, known as kemono within the game, such as the Ragetail, the Sapscourge, and the Kingtusk. Additionally, players will engage in these hunts while experimenting with the building system that incorporates distinctive structures called Katakuri.
Using Katakuri, players have the flexibility to adapt their hunting strategies. For instance, they can swiftly construct a defensive barrier to counteract a kemono’s powerful assault. As players progress, they will discover how to craft tools such as bombs, traps, and even elaborate transportation systems using ziplines.
Completing the demo will enable gamers to transfer their progress directly to the main game once it’s released for the Switch 2 on July 25th.
In May, we were treated to a trailer for WILD HEARTS S, which demonstrated some engaging 4-player cooperative gameplay. This extended 14-minute video, featuring commentary from the development team in Japanese, showcased numerous hunting scenes, weapons, and locations that players can explore while playing WILD HEARTS S.
Originally released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S in the year 2023, WILD HEARTS initially received applause for its fresh takes on Capcom’s Monster Hunter series framework. However, it also faced criticism due to performance problems across all platforms at launch. Now, WILD HEARTS S, essentially a revitalization effort by developers Omega Force and publishers Koei Tecmo, aims to bring the game to the upcoming Switch 2 platform, offering a second chance for players to experience
